Five months after the House passed and sent you the bill to defund the Taliban, it remains stalled in your committee. You @SenatorRisch have majority votes. @SenateForeign rules are very clear: a majority vote is sufficient to advance the No Tax Dollars For Terrorists Act favorably. You @SenatorRisch cannot blame the Democrats this time. You are the Chairman. The Democrats refused to Defund the Taliban when they held the majority. Every week of delay preserves the very loopholes this bill would close: NGO laundering, “humanitarian” exemptions that Taliban commanders tax, and the weekly cash shipments. We don’t want any new amendments. No watered-down substitute that keeps the spigot open for the Taliban. No loopholes. No more delays. Put HR 260 on the calendar and force the vote.
