@LivEchoEFC @Tony_Scott11 Water into wine is overreaching. When being the away team and being able to set up with a low block, Everton have done really well. At home where the impetus is on us to be more proactive, we have been exceptionally poor.

🗣️ “Moyes at the moment, I’ve seen a lot of criticism… He’s turning water into wine and he can’t turn it into champagne unless he gets the right grapes.”

@MikeCosgrove84 @EllBretland Our best centre back at LB.
Our best central midfield player at RB.
A young, talented, right footed central midfielder at left wing.
Our best, natural left sided attacker on the right.

@EllBretland The lack of attacking patterns of play is shocking. I genuinely would love to see what type of attacking pattern/ positional work they do throughout the week.

Doesn’t sound good, but hopefully only a minor stress fracture. #EFC

I really think with time they will come to regret this decision. Not many better than Harbaugh out there!

Thank you Harbs 💜

@EllBretland I thought Moyes’ comments were particularly damning. It absolutely sums up the club, top to bottom, and Moyes to an extent as well. A squad with so many gaping holes, and we are told to not expect much…. 🤯

@GregOK @PatricRidge There is absolutely no excuse for not sorting out the fullback positions this window. With it being such a glaring problem, it would be negligible to not do so.
English

@PatricRidge Cheers. I think one of the things Kinnear & TFG may not fully appreciate is - unless they communicate clearly why there may be no business, then fans will just be frustrated. They've heard all this pessimistic January window avoidance many times before as rivals strengthen
English

Really great piece by @GregOK, especially when it comes to Everton's pessimism about the January window.
It's been disappointing to hear the usual excuses churned out, because nobody is expecting massive spend.

@thebullensview If the transfer committee along with management haven’t been able to identify competent, affordable full backs that are an upgrade on our current personnel, then serious questions need to be asked of both.
English

🎙️| We need to be strategic and not panic buy. TFG will back David Moyes, we have seen that in the summer and we will see that over the next couple of windows, but we don't need to take risks this window. If the player profile isn't there for us then don't spend the money - @Benjwinst 🔵

@Amad16FC Why should they? They been protected for to long with managers being sacked etc. time to let them know enough is enough

I’ve seen better benches at Ballyronan Marina.🤯

@TacticallyMatt @thebullensview Spot on. I’d go as far to say he put himself into certain positions so he can’t receive the ball, on purpose.
The restrictions being put on the team due to having no attacking threat from our FBs is infuriating.
English

@Super_Dan987 @thebullensview Think he's been doing it more this season than we've previously seen, but his runs aren't great and if he does receive it he's not very effective.
He also barely drags markers away as they know he's not a threat. Need a strong attacking FB asap, on both sides
English

🎙️| If we just look at the pass map, Barry may as well have not been on the pitch. The left-hand side dynamics didn’t really work, while we struggled to create through O’Brien on the right-hand side. Amazingly, Grealish passed to Mykolenko just once throughout the whole game. That’s not the sign of a successful left-hand side relationship.
Grealish needs a left-back who he can work with, bounce off each other, find the overlapping runs. Unfortunately, it’s making Grealish’s job more difficult, as he clearly doesn’t trust him. Maybe he needs to trust him more, but the evidence is there to suggest that Mykolenko offers little threat in the final third - @TacticallyMatt 🔵

English

@TacticallyMatt @thebullensview I just don’t understand why Mykolenko doesn’t get beyond Grealish every time! It at least pulls the FB away. Even if he doesn’t receive it. Surely he’s been asked to overlap, no?
