You are the one interpreting the comment as ALL Spirit flyers being "the worst of the worst".... When in reality, what she said was that A SUBSET OF Spirit flyers were "the worst of the worst" As someone who happily flew Spirit many times, and who is very sad to see it go, her statement was accurate.

It's not, that was exactly our prices. Yes, I've looked into the 29hr train tickets and renting a van for the 18hr drive, with young kids those options become very difficult. The cheaper Spirit flights allowed families with small children to be able to make these kind of trips affordable and sadly it seems like we'll have to wait until they're older to do them again if we're forced to drive instead of fly.

Wow!!! My family of 7 was supposed to fly on Spirit to Miami for $597.48 total. The @AmericanAir rescue fares are almost 10x that!!! @SecDuffy how is the average American family supposed to travel?#pricegouging

2 years ago, I nearly missed a flight after I got stuck in traffic on my way to the airport. Then I sat next to a stranger on the plane. 2 years later, that stranger will soon be called my husband. Every anniversary I celebrate, I still cannot believe I engaged in stranger danger on an airplane while traveling to another country, where I met my soon to be husband who was also traveling. I seriously never thought I would ever get married to be honest. Let alone meet my husband on an airplane. I’m glad I ran through the airport that day and didn’t miss my flight. Life is crazy. ❤️ And Hallmark movies are real after all.
