Let me elaborate. A consistently very high turnout isn’t something very healthy. These are the last elections in these countries. US: ~65% UK: ~59% Japan: 54% Italy: 63% Canada: 63% You can see a pattern. Unless it’s an anti-incumbency wave, a very high turnout is like inflammation in your body. Like fighting an infection. People trying to change the outcome of their lives by voting. Barring exceptions, 90+ turnout is a symptom of a problem, and not a signal of good health. Thanks.

92% voting in Bengal also tells you the level of unemployment there.
