I’m not giving him a free pass. He made mistakes. I just don’t think the mistakes he made were the main reason the grizz are where they are today (btw, totally get the frustration. Been a long time since I was this apathetic about the grizz. I just don’t think ZK is the main culprit)

One thing I think that should be clear with confidence is Zach Kleiman is the right person to architect this rebuild for Grizz
He obviously knows how to put a promising core together drafting, and in today’s nba, drafting well is the key to building a contender

@chipwilliamsjr @StatsSAC But I don’t see how on Earth he could be trusted to handle the next step. His handling of trying to take the next step was comically bad. Like with Jenkins- there’s a time to move on to compete at a higher level. Zack’s not that guy.

@jhrogersii @StatsSAC Before Ja’s max extension kicked in (and mostly before the injuries/suspensions started) the grizz made the playoffs three times and won a series while their core group was under 25. That seems really good, no?

@chipwilliamsjr @StatsSAC There was an opportunity to build something that had a semblance of salary control before the max deals had to be given out to Ja and Bane. That opportunity was completely squandered and then the cap did become a limiting factor after their deals.
