@WalterS05043553 @saylor We can take this concept into a packed Bitcoin Backed Securities (BBS) - similar to MBS and sell to pension funds. A mature BBS market will create liquidity to to BTC holders and returns to pension funds who are chasing yields to meet obligations. Something to think about.

Bitcoin Loan Model I developed a simple spreadsheet to show some pro forma projections of how a Bitcoin Loan program could use a Reverse Mortgage Protocol. There are two tables. One with 7.9 BTC stack - this is from @saylor keynote speech in Nashville where he said the BTC Maxi has 7.9 BTC. The other table is if you only have 1 BTC. If you have 7.9 BTC today - you might be able to retire into a upper middle class lifestyle - assuming that you have other capital (house, cars, investments, etc.) If you have 1 BTC today - you might be able to retire in 10 years into an upper middle class lifestyle. If you are working, stacking more BTC will shift the dates. The loan products for BTC will likely emerge and become more mainstream as Bitcoin goes above $100K and we hopefully move into a less regulated environment. I used the Power Law price projections, but just know that nothing goes up in a straight line. There will be fluctuations and bear markets. For this model to work effectively, you need to be able to adjust or suspend your withdrawals during those times -- this means have a bear market capital pool outside this protocol. The key to this approach being successful is the fact that you are borrowing Fiat at a much lower rate than the average CAGR for BTC. Currently 50% CAGR vs. 15% Interest Rate for this. This only works if you you believe that Saylor POV on BTC is roughly correct. His view loosely aligns with the Power Law projections. If you don't believe this, then this spreadsheet is nonsense. There are several considerations when considering this schema: 1. Loan Rate vs. BTC CAGR: BTC CAGR needs to be much higher or the loan eats your stack. 2. Tax Deferral: by borrowing against your holdings, you do not incur a taxable event. If you sell some of you stack to pay back the loan in 7 years, that will be taxable. However, if you ladder a second reverse mortgage (assuming that you are collateralized), then you can borrow to pay of the original loan and start a new 7 year clock. 3. Inheritance Step-Up: use you stack like this without selling and you can pass to your heirs with a step-up in basis, so if an when the sell the capital gains will be much less. 4. Managing Loan-to-Value: keep things under 50% and there is little risk of liquidation. Nothing is full-proof, so you could buy some "insurance" in the form of long dated out of money BTC puts to mitigate liquidation risk. Again - this is a thought exercise meant to help me and anyone interested in this to think through the issues in 2024 ahead of these type of BTC loan products hitting the market.
