A US jet was shot down in the skies of Iran despite Trump repeatedly saying Iran has Zero air defense. The most Interesting part, of the whole story however, is how Trump has managed to spin the narrative and sell it as a win to his American audience by highlighting the resue operation, rather than the Jet being shot down. Americans are so easy to fool.

Recall the similar failed US rescue mission many decades ago to free US hostages held by Iranian students occupying US Embassy in Teheran. The Mil rescue mission comprising helicopters etc crashed in that Sandstorm. I say repeatedly US has blundered and always underestimated Iran's response

With no recovery possible, a Delta element destroys it on the spot. Two US aircraft gone in one mission.

@chaotichermes Voting eligibility should be restricted to citizens that are taxpayers (income tax or property tax) that do not receive government benefits (e.g. welfare, etc.). Follows the "no taxation without representation" original rallying cry and solves a lot of the issues.

I have indeed been to Norway — I am Norwegian and lived there for 23 years before moving abroad. I have also lived in the US. And I can tell you that the quality of life is *far* better in Norway than in the US. Any quality of life index would tell you the same.
