@kaizen000000000 Charles Darwin claimed that existing life forms can change on a population scale due to environmental pressures. Evolution cannot explain how life evolved from inorganic chemicals, nor can it explain the organization of complex multi organ animals from a single cell.

@MarshallCSmith @hollandBobbieR In order to engage, one has to have a broad background knowledge, which a lot of public schools don't provide. I live in a well to do suburb and the children are engaging only because they learn informally from their highly educated professional parents.

The “homeschooling is the only way” mentality lacks a connection to the lives of most Americans. The philosophy makes sense in a bubble, an upper middle class Christian bubble. Get outside that bubble into urban cities, single parent households and households at or below the poverty line and it all breaks down. Christian parents are right to consider what are the best options for their family, homeschooling may be it. However, we need to leave the “moral” superiority of homeschooling behind. It’s not helpful.
Anthony Bradley@drantbradley

To The “Everyone Should Homeschool” Crowd, you live in a bubble. ~Yours Truly, Reality. “According to the National Literacy Institute, 21% of U.S. adults are illiterate, while 54% have a literacy comprehension below a sixth-grade level.”

@hollandBobbieR @MarshallCSmith This argument would make sense if this wasn't the philosophy adhered to by a lot of public and private progressive schools already. In Chicago, almost every fancy school (outside of Catholic schools) boasts about being children led and children centered.

Homeschooling is just one option and I’m for whatever is going to have the best outcome for your child. I’ve taught in public and private schools and there are pros and cons to both. With homeschooling I fear what it will be like for them as adults in the work place when their boss does not care about what their interests are. When you cater to a child their whole life around their own interests that has to be a recipe for disaster.

@DrNeilStone @jonathanstea Many things that cure cancer also cause cancer. They used to do mastectomy and LN dissection on women with any kind of breast cancer, then 10 years later angiosarcoma. Therapy related MDS is another example.

If you want to teach doctors about nutrition, be my guest but Robert F. Kennedy Jr. acting like more nutrition knowledge = healthier Americans… cute. Telling someone to “eat more fruits and vegetables” without addressing barriers is like telling them to “just get more sleep” while they’re working two jobs and raising kids. If someone can’t afford healthier food consistently, what’s the damn point? Practically useless. You can’t Whole Foods your way out of not having access to food.
Secretary Kennedy@SecKennedy

The more that doctors know about nutrition, the healthier Americans will be.

@cremieuxrecueil And the reproducibility of academic research is tanked beyond redemption. I don't trust any research coming out of Asian nations except Japan. Corruption is rampant from top to bottom and the Confucius culture is very effective at silencing any dissent or whistleblower.

China is now ahead of the U.S. and EU in terms of having its researchers secure publications in top journals. Who knows where it'll end up? Perhaps in a few more years, half of the top research will come from China.

In Chicago's Chinatown, tons of families are walking around, having a good time. Then a homeless man, clearly strung out, wanders into the crowd and starts screaming. Literally just screaming. Now everyone is uncomfortable. People walk away, try to shield their kids from him. Lines outside of businesses disperse. Why is a single, asocial individual allowed to monopolize a public space like this and make everyone feel unsafe? Who benefits from allowing that homeless man to go without treatment? Clearly not him. Clearly not the rest of us.

@NguynCh43962599 @MsMelChen Ok, so...after the war, did living standards plummet for people in the south? In the 80s-late 90s, did Vietnamese live in comfort or poverty? Did most people have an indoor flushing toilet, clean water, a motorcycle, a telephone, or a television? What was their annual income?

Vietnam is the lesser known “graveyard of empires” Small plucky Asian country defeated 3 out of 5 UN Security Council permanent members. Don’t forget they put boots on the ground and defeated the Khmer Rouge while the US just carpet bombed from the air

This post has a quarter of a million “Likes” in 48 hours Americans are losing it realizing they work more than peasants used to work “I've actually f*cking had it with the United States of America — I gotta go to work 40 sometimes 50 hours a week only to get 2 weeks of paid vacation — peasants used to get 154 days off. I'm not even treated like a f*cking peasant” “I can't f*cking do this shit anymore. And all while this shit is happening, they're f*cking constantly attacking your psychological — y'all just kicking me when I'm f*cking down. I can't go anywhere because they f*cking hate us — while a ruling class of Satan-worshipping, baby-eating pedophiles comes for my f*cking kids every way, or form B*tch. Taxes, fees, fees, taxes, tolls, taxes, check engine light, taxes, tickets, taxes, pedophiles, taxes, taxes, taxes, taxes. B*tch, I'm done” For reference: 2500 B.C. The Pharaoh took 20% of the slaves’ harvest. 2025 A.D. The government takes 35–60% of your income through income tax, FICA, sales tax, property tax, gas tax, inflation, and fees.

Trump has cut legal immigration more than illegal immigration, as I predicted. While illegal entries have fallen, they continued a prior trend, falling more before he came back. Meanwhile, Trump has cut legal entries, reversing the prior upward trend.

Few Americans paid attention to this aspect of Trump's agenda, but it was predictable (and predicted by me) that this would happen. Trump is arguably the most anti-legal immigration president ever. Congress should stop him before the damage is permanent. cato.org/blog/trump-has…
