#WATCH | Two young women from the Northeast were allegedly subjected to harassment and physical assault in South Delhi’s Nehru Place, in an incident that has once again raised serious concerns over the safety of women from the region in the national capital. The victims, one from Assam and the other from Nagaland, claimed they were surrounded and attacked by a group of seven men early Sunday morning. They have also accused the police of failing to act promptly despite repeated appeals for help. Recounting the sequence of events, one of the victims said they had initially tried to ignore the harassment, but the situation quickly escalated. The victims further claimed that their ordeal continued even after they approached the police.
