No, punching a Nazi doesn't make you a Nazi. Punching a Nazi makes you Captain America, or possibly Indiana Jones. Punch more Nazis.

@ZackPolanski Hi Zak, could you provide any evidence of JLM 'standing alongside a Government enabling genocide? I recently put forward a motion at the JLM AGM to show our support and solidarity with Omdim Beyachad (I am sure you know of their work) - it passed with overwhelming support.

This is so utterly ludicrous. Why would the Jewish Labour movement - a group standing alongside a government enabling genocide - comment on training within the Green Party? Who do they think they are? As if they're some moral authority when they've got Luke Akehurst as an MP!

‘Phonetic’ is not. ‘Abbreviation’ is 12 letters. ‘Thesaurus’ doesn’t have a synonym. Say what you will about English, but it has a sense of humor.

How did this become a thing? Woman in front of me this morning: “I’ll do a venti skim latte.” What the hell does that even mean???
Ryan Madison@Ryan_Observes

@ChrisCillizza it's actually getting worse... the "I'll" is slowly being replaced by "I'm gonna" ie. "I'm gonna do the Caesar Salad" ughh

@jonfavs So does that mean they should immediately drop all support for Israel, or is that not the kind of unpopular special interest you’re thinking of?

Dems should resist any group or special interest that pressures them to take positions opposed by the electoral majority essential to win, whether that’s big corporations, rich donors, nonprofits, whoever. This isn’t about blaming specific groups for defeat - it’s about what’s required to win.
Mehdi Hasan@mehdirhasan

It’s a great quote, but the piece as a whole jumps on this new bandwagon of blaming ‘groups’ in the Dem coalition for defeat, and implying they control everything, rather than the billionaire class and special interests which have far more control on the modern Democratic Party.

@the_moviebob It's basically the War on Christmas nonsense that comes up around this time every year. Some far-right snowflake who doesn't know what a synonym is hears "Happy Holidays" and concludes that Christmas has been banned forever.

@Baddiel So you agree, the genocide in Gaza is disproportionate retaliatory violence and not any kind of self-defence?

A lot of people on here feeling the need to insist that the throwing into canals, attempted stabbings, head-stamping and hunting down of Jews this week in Amsterdam was provoked by the bad behaviour of Maccabi Tel-Aviv fans. Well, good to know that in this instance we’re ok with disproportionate retaliatory violence.

@shaun_vids @MrPostsGood There's a really clear case of sampling bias in trying to use exit polls to explain why people didn't vote.

Imagine Russian football fans in a foreign city: - Interrupted a minute’s silence in memory of dead flood victims with chants in support of killing Ukrainian children - Rampaged through the city - Ripped down Ukrainian flags - Chanted “death to Ukrainians” - Attacked local residents Imagine then, when local residents attacked them, they were presented as victims of a racist pogrom.
