Games six and seven of this Buffalo - Montreal series have been full marks. Amazing hockey and a storied rivalry. We know it’s sacrilegious as Leafs fans to root for MTL but HG roots for all Canadian teams. Nice to see the Habs punch their ticket into the conference finals.

As a Deep South Southern girl, I never knew anything about hockey. We never played it, never watched it. Hell, we didn’t even have ice rinks, let alone hockey. It wasn’t until I was an adult that I started paying attention to the sport. I gotta admit, it’s by far the most entertaining game. The aggression, the fights, the speed, the raw skill of being on a blade, on ice, with a stick & moving a puck at the same time- fascinating. It has become my favorite sport to watch & I say this as a lifelong football fan. I sure wish I had grown up with hockey. I’m late to the party of appreciating this incredible sport. We are watching a series that has a lot of hockey in it & damn, I enjoy it so much. Matter fact, the very first hockey game I attended- I caught a puck that flew over the glass. Is that common? I dont know yet lol. I’m a normie & a newbie 😂

Good for Marner for finally being clutch in his 10th playoff run, however: -chose to leave, Leafs offered big money to stay -9 chances in Toronto to do this -same people saying he wasn't a problem forgot past tweets are searchable -Utah + Anaheim are not Florida, Tampa, Boston

Nice to Peter Laviolette publicly lobbying for the Leafs head coaching job. i never seen this before. speaks to the clout that @LMTake_ has now. i personally want David Carle but Lavi is the the only “old guard” coach that I have deep respect for. he would be a fit in Toronto.

No playoffs + last season's team being so unwatchable makes it feel like I haven't watched Leafs hockey in over a year. Genuinely miss it. That first McKenna to Matthews (yes he will be on the team) goal is going to feel like a gasp of oxygen after nearly drowning

excited about the Leafs being able to draft a generational talent like Mckenna at the 1 spot, but make no mistake — there are serious mutants in this draft class. from Chase Reid to Albert Smits to Tynan Lawrence and even the projected #2 Ivar Stenberg … unreal talent. wow.

Marner is performing with VGK because he’s finally free from plug Auston Matthews and terrible wingers like Hyman, Knies & bunting. He was in an impossible situation in Toronto. Now that he’s riding shotgun with “wild bill” Karlsson and “Brett Howden” he’s showing his potential

I’m not worried about Auston staying in Toronto, I’m more worried about him infecting Mckenna with his mentality. I’m on board with a rebuild but it’s terrifying thinking about Chayka trying to make those trades in a short time frame. However it’s a massive opportunity to gut out the culture problem the Leafs have. If they can turn Matthews, Nylander and a goalie into 5 or 6 high end prospects to go with Knies, Cowan and Danford they should do it. Return would have to include at least 1 projected top 6 center and at least 1 projected top pair D man +++
