@McFranchisee So if I’ve been buying happy meals regularly for 2 kids for many years here, how many free burgers should they give me for the error 😋 @McDonaldsCanada

It’s an issue with how they setup their drink pricing in RFM. Their AVM key is not priced the same price as the kids beverage, it’s 10¢ off. I know this jargon doesn’t make sense but that’s the internal issue that needs to be addressed in their register software & how it’s programmed in the background.

@McDonaldsCanada why does your grimsby location charge 10 cents for drinks on haply meals? They do this for water bottles too, not just fountain drinks

I think I made my laziest $400 today. I listed a shed I had (in box) on FBM, but instead of just using the product image (might get shadow banned) I ran it through nano banana ~3 mins of work, sold 2 days later, I'm $400 richer (minus about $150 in COGS) Does this look real?

Models are picking up on a potential lake-effect band for the Golden Horseshoe with Sunday’s system, with easterly winds off Lake Ontario. This could enhance snowfall totals given Arctic air in place and an open Lake Ontario.

I think I’ve seen enough to expect a solid storm on the 25th. I often talk about the model “dead zone” in these types of forecasts, and it’s a very powerful tool. It now appears we are entering the very beginning of that dead zone, the point where the global models have largely made up their minds. From here on out, the focus shifts to regional models and CAMs to refine the details the globals have already established. There could still definitely be trends away from a storm hitting Toronto but it seems unlikely to me. Also airplane recon data will be implemented for the 12z runs on the 23rd bringing further clarifications. I’m seeing extremely consistent trends across all major guidance, and the ensembles have clearly decided on a solution. On top of that, every major AI model including AIFS, Aurora, GraphCast, FourCastNet, and Pangu, favor a northern track, which adds another layer of confidence. As for what I’m expecting when this storm occurs, the primary story appears to be the cold air and lake enhancement. Very cold 850 mb temperatures, combined with north to northeast flow, support significant lake enhancement. The atmospheric column is also extremely cold, easily supporting snowfall ratios near 20:1, while allowing the DGZ to become deeper than usual. This setup also features isentropic lift, though it looks broader and less localized compared to the previous storm we saw on the 15th. I will bring further clarifications to exact setup when we get the GFS onboard as it has more advanced parameters. #onwx #onstorm #Toronto

@natlforecast How confident or reliable is this?

The January 24-25 system now looks like it will be pushed too far south due to the Arctic air mass settling over our region for the next few days. That cold, dense air is acting like a barrier and suppressing the storm track. As a result, instead of affecting us, it is now expected to become a fairly significant snowstorm for parts of the southern U.S. I’ll still be monitoring and forecasting it, even though it won’t directly impact our area. Looking ahead, the next period worth watching is around January 29th, which I mentioned in yesterday’s post. So far, the AIFS model has been extremely consistent in showing a strong storm for the East Coast during that timeframe. That signal is now beginning to show up in both the AIFS ENS and the EPS, which adds confidence that something meaningful could develop. There is also some supportive stratospheric patterning that indicates the potential for a stronger storm around that time. A few things stand out to me. First is how unusually consistent the model signal has been, even at a very long range of around 280 hours out. At the moment, it appears the storm would mainly affect the U.S. East Coast and miss us, but at this distance the forecast can still change a lot. The key takeaway right now is not the exact track, but the fact that there is a persistent signal for a major storm, which could still trend either closer to us or farther away. Second, one of the recent AIFS model runs showed a setup that looked almost identical to the pattern that produced the 1993 ‘Superstorm.’ I’ll post comparison images in the comments. This doesn’t mean we are going to get a storm like 1993, but it does suggest that the overall atmospheric setup is favorable for a potentially strong winter storm if everything were to align. #onwx #onstorm #Toronto

(6/6) The goal? Fund my kids’ college education through reselling. Every pressure washer, cookware set, and liquidation pallet gets me closer. If you’re sitting on the sidelines wondering if reselling works… This is your sign. It does. Now go execute.
