Stephen A. Smith asks why the government can’t just provide a free ID to every American. “How come we can’t just do that?!” “We make sure true legalized American citizens are the ones with ID, and you eliminate those who are here illegally.” “You know why we can’t do that?” “Because the notion of fixing and resolving the immigration issue doesn’t benefit either side. It would eliminate the argument that they could make for a midterm election or a general election.”

Bernie Sanders was born in Brooklyn, New York. He would get his birth certificate from the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, which hosts the Office of Vital Records. How did he prove his citizenship to run for president?

@israel_ajoje I'm biased towards Arsenal but would apply the same logic to any club's match. If spurs score 2 goals in extra time and we lose the league by a goal, what's your legal take then? There's too much money at stake now for these arbitrary decisions...and who they obviously favor ;)

@TI_Dandy I understand Daniel I dont know why it took that long to fix today...I am just addressing the fact that a referee has the power the suspend a match or even stop it when he has reasonable cause to do so.

Been in the professional entertainment industry all my adult life...always have both redundant systems and back up mics, trancievers and a/b equipment. Have swapped mics mid song in some cases. An actual flare (real safety concern) on the pitch took...30 seconds to be removed 🤷
Ajoje⚽⚖️@israel_ajoje

In the 7th minute of today's North London Derby at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, referee Peter Bankes stopped the game. Not for an injury nor for a VAR check. But for a technical reason. I know you might have been wondering why. Just after Arsenal's Viktor Gyökeres fired a shot wide, play was suspended due to a communication equipment failure. Specifically, an issue with one assistant referee's microphone pack on the far side. This prevented reliable radio contact between the officials, which is essential for coordinating decisions like offsides, fouls, and VAR input. The stoppage lasted about 5 to 6 minutes while technicians replaced the faulty device on the sidelines. Gary Neville on commentary called it an "absolute shambles" and "absolute joke," frustrated at the disruption in such a big, intense match, especially as Arsenal were dominating early. But here is the thing. Under IFAB Laws of the Game which the English FA uses, (Law 5, The Referee), the ref has full authority to suspend play for outside interference or anything compromising match control or safety. A comms malfunction qualifies as this- something that can compromise match control. It is similar to examples like inadequate floodlights or interfering objects on the pitch. This is because the referee needs to ensure proper officiating before resuming. Play restarted smoothly after the fix. There were no injuries or other drama. It was just a rare tech glitch in the ref's gear. So in case you didn't know why the pause happened and if there is a legal basis for it, there is your reason. Genuine question... Is there any reason that citizens aren't given a voter ID number that pairs with their Social security number for voting purposes? Even if someone was brave enough to steal your identity, they'd only get one parallel vote with both ID #'s. 🤷

@TRHLofficial @RepTeresaLF I'll say it again, push the onus back to the parties. What even IS registering to vote if you're not supplying verifiable personal information. Make them do the leg work before it even gets to the polls. If you're "registering" ineligible voters, severe penalties.

@MarioJoos Of course! YT rewarding short form content manipulates creator behaviour. From a systems standpoint, I see that as less encoding (max 1080 vertical), less bandwidth and even little things like caption retrieval. My only guess would be it's being routed to AI. 🤷

🚨Important reminder: The YouTube algorithm actually changed, for the worse. (+Data) I’ve addressed this last year already and because we haven’t seen it being addressed, I thought it’d be a good idea to remind everyone of what happened last year. Before I begin, a direct note to all my friends at YouTube, I truly respect what you’ve been doing in the past year, and I know you’ll take this problem seriously, but urgency is key when creators are hurting. Let’s begin. Last year, creators of all sizes started noticing a significant change in the overall performance of their channels. Usually this is related to the overall behavior of audiences, however, this one felt different. It wasn’t just one or two channels, it was every single channel I was working on (and more). These are channels that pull 100 million to 1 billion views per month at times. At first, I was like: alright, let’s find out where we’re going wrong. Maybe we’re missing something. However, after weeks and months, no answers were found. This is very frustrating, not only for myself but also for the creators who are relying on these answers to maintain their channel, business and livelihood. But that’s when we made a breakthrough, a way of looking at data that we had missed. You see, this entire time we were analyzing the channel as a whole, new and old videos combined. However, we weren’t focused on isolating older content, specifically content with a publish date older than one month. That’s where, for the first time, we noticed something unusual. We saw a complete crash in short form views on content older than one month. (see image) What we found was that somewhere in the middle of September last year, YouTube had pushed a significant change in their short form algorithm which impacted nearly every short form creator across the platform. Why is this a problem? Because it affects every creator we all care about. It didn’t matter if you were a smaller creator or one of the top ten creators, we haven’t found many people who were spared. I’ll leave a brief explanation at the bottom so you can check your own channel. And these weren’t just entertainment or educational creators, it was both. What we found is that YouTube seems to have implemented a change that strongly prioritizes content uploaded in the last month, roughly 28 to 30 days, we’re still unsure. But what impact does this have, and why do I believe this is something that should be brought to light? The first impact is that we’re seeing a shift away from quality to quantity. Often, creators live off the revenue generated, not just Adsense, from these bigger content pieces. A strong portion of this revenue comes from their back catalog, meaning older content. With this change, you’re increasing the importance of high volume uploads in the first 30 days. What do I believe is happening, and why is this change going through? I believe there are two reasons why YouTube is pushing this change. First, to hit certain targets with Shorts. Plain simple, I don’t believe this is a “what’s best for the creator” type of play, it feels more like a “we want to compete with TikTok” type of play. Not unreasonable, even if the creator gets hurt by it short term. I’m just trying to think from a corporate point of view. The second reason, which I believe to be the actual leading reason, is a push for recency, freshness or novelty, whichever term they would choose to use. But if this is the reason, there’s a massive overcorrection happening. Some content needs that freshness: news, streaming highlights, medical information. However, this isn’t true for all types of content. Some content from years ago is just as good today. We have noticed that certain top content pieces, individual videos, still get a significant amount of views, so it looks more like prioritization than anything else. Regardless, while in private I find it fun to refer to this situation as “the flattening”, in reality this is a very concerning moment where simple ideas turn into a massive hit toward the creator economy. And this is just the tip of the iceberg of changes that have been affecting people. It’s important that changes on the platform aren’t just focused on the consumer, but the preservation of a healthy creator economy that allows creators to grow their business, teams, and create better content. Without a focus on both the creator and the consumer, you’ll quickly run into an issue of low quality slop that makes people want to go elsewhere. If there’s any call to action here for you, whether you’re a creator or a viewer, I strongly encourage you to leave your thoughts here to encourage YouTube to rethink this decision, or at least optimize it so that it’s also regarding the importance of keeping a healthy creator economy. Share your thoughts, and even data from your own channel, because this will be seen by people who have the power to make change. Disclaimer: I’ve left out some sensitive information. However, if you want to check this for yourself, go to Analytics, click on Advanced Mode, filter by Content Type (Shorts), filter by Publish Date (for example any short published from Jan 2025 to Jun 2025), set the data to Last 365 Days and take a look at the change happening around September last year. I think you can imagine why it took so long for us to find out where the issue began.

Khaby Lame Part 2 I did some more digging... It gets a lot worse.............. A LOT WORSE...... The company that bought Khaby's brand (Rich Sparkle Holdings) went public 6 months ago. Their business? Printing financial documents. Their revenue? Under $6 million. Their valuation at IPO? $50 million. Their valuation after announcing the Khaby deal? $16.3 BILLION. 16.3 BILLION!!!!!!!!!!! That's a 326x increase in 6 months. NOT FOR AN AI COMPANY, BUT FOR A PRINTING COMPANY!! AND IT GETS WORSE. The underwriter who took Rich Sparkle public (Eddid Securities) also took AMTD Digital public. Their stock went from $7.80 to $1,100 for "no apparent reason" according to the BBC. Then it collapsed. BUT THERE IS MORE Rich Sparkle's auditor resigned "effective immediately" on December 15th. One month before the Khaby deal was announced. No reason given. Hmmm suspiscious... AND IT GETS EVEN WORSE THAN THIS Khaby's company (Step Distinctive Limited) was registered in the British Virgin Islands in July 2025. The exact same month Rich Sparkle went public. Coincidence? Seems very sus to me... And then you have this. The second largest shareholder in Khaby's company is called "Pink13 Group Inc." It was registered in Delaware one month before Rich Sparkle's IPO. Nobody knows who owns it... Hmmmmmmmmm SUSPICIOUS..... Securities attorneys are now calling this A RED FLAG Experts are saying the following: "This looks completely like a Chinese stock promotion. The whole thing just seems nuts." Another attorney said: "I've only seen that kind of chart in a pump and dump scheme." Forbes confirmed they will NOT count Khaby as a billionaire. Why? The stock's float is under 5%. Translation: There's barely any real trading happening. The price is essentially FAKE. THE NUMBER IS FAKE!!! If Khaby tried to sell his shares tomorrow, the price would crash before he could get out. Remember when I said he basically got paid in meme coins? I was being generous. This looks like a textbook stock manipulation scheme with a famous face attached to make it look legitimate. The absolute worst part? Khaby might not even fully understand what he signed up for. He's a content creator, not a securities expert. Someone put him in this position. I genuinely hope he got something real out of this. But based on everything public... I'm not optimistic. Khaby, if you're reading this, please talk to an independent securities lawyer. NOT ANYONE CONNECTED TO THIS DEAL! (Again: This is my analysis of public information. I'm rooting for you, not against you.)
Kwebbelkop@Kwebbelkop

I’m still super confused about this deal. According to estimations he has ‘only’ generated $20m throughout his entire career. After agent fees, expenses and taxes a lot less will be left. He sold 49% of his company for $975M, putting his company valuation at $2B. The company who bought 49% is basing this off the fact that they expect to generate $400M in yearly revenue from branded partnerships. Now make this make sense. Online estimates say he made $20M so far (seems pretty accurate) The Hong Kong company who bought 49% is expecting to make $400M per year. (20x his lifetime earnings in 1 year???) The largest YouTubers in the world don’t even touch $100M in branded partnerships per year. How is a TikTok creator to do 4x that EVERY YEAR with significantly less watch time. This deal doesn’t make any sense. IT MAKES NO SENSE! My gut says something fishy is going on here… I just don’t know what it is… FYI: 0 hate to Khaby, I’m absolutely rooting for him and hope that he gets out of this with a big pile of cash. I just wanna understand what’s happening here.

@TonySeruga Here's the answer. Instead of requiring voter ID for in person voting, pass a fed level law requiring the parties to maintain records when registering to vote. In other words, make it the job of the Dems/Reps/Ind to keep registration ID's records separate from the polls.

🚨California Democrats celebrate banning voter ID California Democrats are taking a victory lap, celebrating the fact that their election system has no way of verifying that the people who are casting votes are legitimate, registered voters. The Supreme Court of California effectively struck down Huntington Beach’s voter ID law, refusing to review a lower court decision that blocked the law. The city argued that it could impose a voter ID requirement for citywide elections, but California Democrats passed a law in 2024 banning localities from requiring voter ID in elections. California law not only does not require you to prove you are who you say you are when you vote, but it actively prevents cities and localities from having that requirement in place at all. This is all based on the rather racist myth that minorities are not smart enough to acquire a form of identification. Democrats wail that voter ID laws are a racist form of voter suppression, despite the fact that California requires identification to buy a house, buy alcohol, fill out employment forms, open a bank account, and drive a car. California even requires you to provide ID to register to vote in federal elections. We know that “voter ID is voter suppression” is a myth because we have seen states such as Georgia pass more stringent voter ID requirements and end up with higher voter turnout. Roughly 34 million people in California already have valid forms of ID. California’s population sits at around 39 million. Still, California Democrats are celebrating. State Attorney General Rob Bonta boasted that no city is “above the law,” and that requiring voters to prove they are who they say they are is “questioning the integrity of our elections.” California Secretary of State Shirley Weber said that she has “a responsibility to ensure that every eligible Californian can exercise their constitutional right to vote,” which means she has to make sure that cities are not able to verify that someone is an eligible Californian. This is, supposedly, “another victory” for “democracy.” California runs the worst election system in the country, taking weeks to count votes after an election that normal states can finish counting in a matter of hours. It is also the least secure, because the Democrats who run a state that is rife with fraud are convinced that there is no way their precious election system can be questioned in any way.
