.@grhmc Where do you hang out online these days? I have some detsys installer questions and I think you might be able to point me in the right direction.
My employer has started discussions to kill all Slack and move to Teams; thank you, @SlackHQ for making a tough conversation with our employees slightly more palatable by force-feeding this horrible new UX on your customers and giving them no way to opt out or rollback.
@tml Yes I wrote that right out of college at my first reporting job -- for the Scottsbluff, Neb. Star Herald, but my notes on that are long gone, sorry to say! It was an assignment the editor at the time gave me and I didn't know much more than what I put in the story.
.@jlasher Wondering if you're the author of this article? I am a descendant of one of the women featured (Irene), and we are trying to connect with the rest of the family, hoping you might have still have some of your research/notes?
@elazar It's been a thing for a very long time that segfault from infinite recursion will not be considered a bug - see bugs.php.net/bug.php?id=9136 for the first instance I can recall of this coming up
@ian_c1701 Thanks for fixing it, it was driving me nuts to see that blemish on an otherwise well written article. So much stuff these days isn't even worth calling out the problems, I figured when I saw one that was worth it, I should give it a try. 👍
.@ian_c1701 "Both Wally West and Roy Harper started out as sidekicks to Oliver Queen and Barry Allen, respectively." Nope; you have those backwards. "Respectively" means "in the order already mentioned", and you flipped them halfway thru.
@rhettweller What the Washington Post completely misses is that the important, usually partisan, thing is who has the RIGHTS. Utahs (and most conservatives) want their right to reject them honored, even if we opt not to exercise that right!
