Those clowns aren’t really mad about Naomi’s dinner. They’re PARANOID. Always imagining we’re somewhere plotting against them because that’s what they* do. Meanwhile we enjoy ourselves just fine without a single thought given to bigots. They cannot say the same.

@OjOj169783 @Dzungie007 @ntsikimazwai Wanting to hold poor SAns to a certain standard is grossly unfair. The majority of Black SAns live below the poverty line and you expecting them to make systematic changes? I think everyone is forgetting the plight of poor Black SAns and the effects it has psychologically.

@OjOj169783 @Dzungie007 @ntsikimazwai to think that far. Humans address their immediate needs hence African migrants are not thinking of systematic change for a better life. Then African governments would face effective resistance from their citizens. Everyone including poor Black SAns have been failed.

@OjOj169783 @Dzungie007 @ntsikimazwai A person who needs to survive on R350 grant is not thinking of systems or structural failures. Its not their immediate problem, competing with an African migrant to put food on the table is. You expecting a people who have been stripped of dignity because of poverty to think

Naomi Osaka on why she chose to host a party for the black tennis players: “You know I'm seeing a little bit of- ‘Why can't you love everyone for all skin tones?’ and ‘what if someone had an all white party?! First of all I do love everyone for who they are no matter their race + ethnicity, (I'm literally half Japanese lol). I can only speak from my experiences in my own life though, growing up as a tennis player I didn't see many people that looked like ME and I feel like it's important to celebrate them. Secondly I feel like it's important to note that there have been all white dinners/parties. I don't know how else to tell you this, I literally seen them all the time and never had an issue with it at all. To the people who ask this question I want to ask you this question too, ‘What is it about POC getting together that unsettles you so much?’ I want to end this by saying I grew up watching my dad get discriminated against, having the cops called on him multiple times at the tennis court. There are multiple things I will apologize for in my life but celebrating being black and appreciating who we are will never be something I would consider saying sorry for. Thanks. Actually I lied, I am sorry. I'm sorry for the people who cannot comprehend in their brains that this is not about exclusion, this is a celebration about how far we have come 🖤” (via Naomi on Threads)

People come to South Africa on a visitor's visa and start a business and when we point that out we are labeled xenophobic

@Jarrod_Delport Blacks are fools. They are not interested in that. They are only interested in fighting foreigners. They blame foreigners for the deterioration of South Africa, unemployment, social ills

I am fighting for Joburg and South Africa because I believe in a country where leadership, dignity in service delivery and opportunity for all are not slogans but lived reality. We can do better and we must. The DA has the plans in place to do this. Let’s get SA working.

Want to learn what colonizers have done to the colonized? This book teaches you the many ways Black folks have been experimented on and degraded. There is a reason Black folks don't trust medical institutions....

You don't have to imagine it. There are whites only golf clubs and tennis clubs that still exist. Why do you have to "imagine it." You sound like a whiny bitch
Jon Root@JonnyRoot_

Imagine if the #1 women’s tennis player, Aryna Sabalenka, held a segregated dinner party for only white players with John McEnroe in attendance. She would be forced to apologize, Tennis Channel & ESPN would make statements/condemn it, & McEnroe would be suspended or fired. So why is a segregated blacks-only dinner party hosted by Naomi Osaka, with Chris Eubanks in attendance ok? You can’t have it both ways... PS: There has never been a whites-only party hosted by a white player in professional tennis as Osaka claims. She’ll never be able to provide proof.

While conducting #TshwaneYaTima in Atteridgeville, I met Thato - who runs Lacquer Nail and Beauty Clinic. Her municipal accounts are up to date. What was most interesting about Thato’s work, is that twice a week she hosts elderly women for beauty treatments. If you are interested in supporting a small business, please visit Thato’s salon. We want to see all businesses to grow in Tshwane. Thato’s work can be followed via TikTok, Instagram and Facebook on: lacquer_nbc @CityTshwane

He's definitely lying. China did not open up their markets, the state had a firm control on how and which industry are accessible to who and when. The state deliberately protected and monopolized certain markets and infant industries. SA is a classic example of how not to open up

President Thabo Mbeki on how President Deng Xiaoping helped China to open up their markets and rapidly grow their economy, he further explains why Africa is failing because of African states operating in silos.

White women have been calling Black women "Shenaenae", "La'Quisha", and "ShaNiqua" in a demeaning manner since the 80's. Latinas were called "Consuela", "Guadalupe", or "Maria" and Asian women were called "Ling-Ling", but the moment ‘Karen’ became a meme criticizing entitled behavior, suddenly people wanted to talk about respect and stereotyping.

This season was full of wonders. We saw Zamalek winning a league after 5 years, Arsenal winning league after 22 years, Al Nassr winning league after 7 years and Orlando Pirates buying the league after 15 years.
