@chuckcook I did pay $10k for my S and Y. But when I heard on the earning call they said “No HW3 to HW4 retrofit”, it make me think we are stuck. Future cars with better HW might drive much better than the old cars. Looks like Robotaxi will never be possible on HW3 cars.

From the FAQ.. FSD Beta is an SAE Level 2 driver support feature that can provide steering and braking/acceleration support to the driver under certain operating limitations. With FSD Beta, as with all SAE Level 2 driver support features, the driver is responsible for operation of the vehicle whenever the feature is engaged and must constantly supervise the feature and intervene .. Where are the feelings of Robotaxi in these words from Tesla? We have to just admit HW3 IS NOT ROBOTAXI. @elonmusk

I'm really disappointed. Can anyone really read this and feel like we are where we thought we were? I am all in on #FSDBeta and supportive of the path we are on, but this wording sounds so "legal" that I am not sure what to expect going forward. @elonmusk answer something .. Please. @ray4tesla At Tahoe, 80 miles of snow mountain downhill road uses about 50 miles of battery range.

Only 37 miles as displayed. My home is 60 miles away. Range anxiety? Nah. Should be able to make it as I’m going down the maintain.

@EmmetPeppers Many large shareholders I talked to tonight thought tomorrow $TSLA will gap up 10+%. My guess is it may go up tomorrow but the news will fade soon, then the street will bring up concern on margin and then push price down. It’s admitting demand is having problem.

These Tesla price cuts in US are clearly a step back for margins in Q1 (maybe Q2 too?) and my gut says $TSLA stock may drop significantly, anywhere from 5-20% tomorrow/Monday as either one day or two day drop Just another week in the life of being a $TSLA shareholder

Excellent financial reports, safety rating, award winning, stock split, etc. 20+ catalysts for the year and price dropped 76%. Nothing can hurt more than massive insider liquidation & CEO playing politics.

Emmet. understand your thought process. Do I think tesla can do 40gwh in 23’? Yes. Will they do it. Probably no. if they do 15, 20, 25 GWH…in 23’ 40gwh would be $20B vs ~ $100B auto If they only do $5B (10gwh) That’s 12.5x WS expectations That’s the MATERIAL impact.

@wholemars Orange street lights in my neighborhood are often recognized as red lights at night. Very often and annoying. FSD will make frequent stop on these 25 mph streets due to this error.

Presumably if this was the issue Tesla made sure to patch to make sure this didn’t happen again right away. And again, it’s the drivers responsibility to be prepared even if there is a false slowdown. But yeah, also very important for the software to minimize these issues.

Tesla hater Ken Kloopsthenbean today shared footage of a crash on the bay bridge, implying that Tesla Full Self-Driving Beta was involved. However, FSD Beta would not be active on the bay bridge. Classic highway Autopilot, available since 2014, would have been used if anything.

@28delayslater @elonmusk I hope the autopilot/FSD was not turned on in this accident. The video itself was not enough to prove it was ON. It could be human error.

@28delayslater These phantom braking quite often and dangerous. I wish the FSD team can make it the highest priority to tackle. It was the main reason to disengage when I see cars behind me getting to close. @elonmusk

@ray4tesla A friend in China told me he expects the price would drop further in coming months. His reason was people are poor after 3 yr of lockdown.

70% of the new orders in 🇨🇳 after price cuts are Model Ys. To stimulate Model 3 sales & compete with others, Tesla needs to refresh its design both interior & exterior or increase range IMO. If not, Model Y RWD could be lowered to 199,900 CNY from 229,900 CNY in coming months.

@ray4tesla MY at ~¥200K price really makes it into the cheap car category in China. Don’t know how Chinese consumers feel about. I paid $70K USD for a LR MY + FSD, have a mix feeling when seeing it become so cheap.
