@TURBOSCUFF @JeremyClarkson @David__Osland The moment government mandates someone gets paid more for anything, you either have people now locked out of low-skilled positions and no change, or you have a general increase in nominal (not actual) wealth and prices rise to compensate.

@BE_Waymire @JeremyClarkson @David__Osland I guess what I mean is that the prices are relative to buying power. It may be that the price of beer goes up a little (because the company needs to pay their employees more), but having a higher wage makes the beer more affordable.

@JeremyClarkson @David__Osland That's not how it works. If everyone has more money to spend on beer, the price should go down. If less people are buying beer the price goes up. The only reason the price of beer would go up is if paying a higher wage results in less beer being made.
