G had a bad day at the plate as a sophomore for us on a Friday evening. That night, he went home and hit in the cage for 4+ hours with his dad, woke up and was the first guy at the park the next morning. His work ethic was absolutely unmatched then and still is now.

Athletes..Just an FYI: Good coaches listen to your actions much more than your words. Your actions speak loudly. Your words fall silent when not backed by them. Choose actions vs. words.

Baseball is the only sport where you have hours to think during a game. That’s why the mental side becomes the biggest challenge. The goal isn’t to eliminate thoughts. The goal is to control how you respond to them.

Hitters without a plan get exposed Hitters who are hesitant underachieve Hitters with a plan win more often. Hitters who are fearless win more often. TRAIN TO BE FEARLESS WITH A PLAN

High school baseball players that want to play college baseball, the best metric you can have is a good transcript. It gets you into school and buys you time. You can keep getting stronger, throwing harder, running faster. You can be a late bloomer. You can’t ever go back and change your high school gpa. Take care of that and doors will continue to open.

Every parent, coach and player should listen to this. Maybe listen twice just to let it sink in.

It’s completely OK to think cocky thoughts inwardly and truly believe your are the best hitter on the planet. Elite competitors must have extreme confidence & positivity! But it’s definitely NOT OK to show cocky actions outwardly and act like a punk. It’s selfish, ruins team chemistry, and you look like a fool!!! Humble > Cocky Confidence✅ Arrogance❌ #BaseballTruth
