@0xdevansh_ @Pallavi_345 This was patched on the latest installer. It doesn’t work anymore. The only way to get past it now that I’ve found is use Rufus to inject a local account into the installer.

@FrostiPixels @VadimYuryev Anything is a bit strong. Excluding gpu preformance it’s hard to beat apple silicon these days. Intel and AMD don’t even come close. You can virtualize Linux and even Windows in its pathetic state and get better performance than some of the highest end hardware built for it.

@VadimYuryev No, this is why people install linux on devices that come bundled with Windows. I will never understand someone with any amount of computer skills choosing a mac for ANYTHING.

@Mariu55vensson @VadimYuryev Sadly even a clean install of Windows these days is only marginally better. Microsoft themselves have embedded this garbage in the OS now. Never really cared to run Linux on my personal machines but Microsoft’s never ending bad decisions have pretty much forced my hand.

@CWVincent13458 @joeroganhq I agree this should be about choice and I’m aware that you didn’t mention scale because I brought it up as the flaw to your argument of it being just as safe. I agree with your principles but your argument was constructed around a flawed metric.

I never said anything about scaling it just that government should get out of the business of telling people what they can and can't choose to eat or drink. the only thing they should be involved in is education producers and consumers on best practices on mitigating food born illnesses.

@CWVincent13458 @joeroganhq To be clear, I’m in no way against raw milk but I’d figure these stats are heavily skewed given the sample sizes. Which means technically if we scale up the raw dairy consumers to the level of pasteurized consumers, the number of cases goes up significantly for raw.

This clown doesn't know what she is talking about. And it's roughly the same amount of people gets sick drinking raw dairy as get sick on processed dairy. "Raw (unpasteurized) milk: 202 outbreaks, 2,645 illnesses, 228 hospitalizations, 3 deaths." "Pasteurized milk: 9 outbreaks, 2,133 illnesses, 33 hospitalizations, 3 deaths." These are totals over a 21-year period (1998–2018).

@WrightFlow_AI @Polymarket It’s not going to bring anything down. Notice it says design, not make. If anthropic follows through, they will likely end up using the same suppliers as nvidia just to make their custom chips. IE: TSMC, Samsung, etc. This doesn’t reduce demand on fabs.

@Polymarket Competition in the chips marketplace is an all around good thing. More companies to buy from will increase accessibility. Not to mention it may help bring these ram prices back down.

@EllipticBitOpts @HedgieMarkets In the past they’ve been so diversified it didn’t matter if one of their products was flopping. Ironically they are now using one product to ruin all their others with co-pilot. Depending on how fast they realize it, this might be the thing that finally sinks them.

🦔 Microsoft is pulling engineers off new features to stabilize Windows 11 after months of patch failures. January brought emergency fixes for systems that couldn't shut down, OneDrive and Dropbox freezing, and machines stuck on black screens at boot. Windows chief Pavan Davuluri says reliability will be the focus for much of the year. Microsoft's stock dropped 12% this week on AI spending concerns. My Take I wrote about this recently. Nadella says 20-30% of Microsoft's code is now AI-written. A GitClear study found code churn doubled after AI tools became widespread. Microsoft's own researchers found developers miss 40% more bugs reviewing AI-generated code because it "looks clean." I can't prove the connection, but when the company bragging about AI-written code has to stop building new features just to fix what's broken, the question keeps asking itself. They're still pushing Recall, which screenshots everything on your desktop. Still shoving Copilot and OneDrive prompts at users. Still overriding browser choices to route traffic through Edge. Users are dealing with broken updates and aggressive upsells at the same time. Trust erodes fast when your operating system feels like it's working against you while also failing to work at all. @WindowsLatest What kind of person trusts their computer enough to ever update and shutdown. You gotta turn it back on to make sure it works.

Microsoft confirms "Update and Shut Down" was actually restarting Windows 11. If you have ever noticed Windows 11’s Update and Shut Down not actually shutting down your PC and restarting instead, you’re not alone. Many of us probably developed a little trust issue with that button because the PC kept bouncing back to the sign-in screen. Turns out it was a known issue with Windows 11 and even Windows 10. It's finally fixed. This fix will begin rolling out to everyone with this month's Patch Tuesday, scheduled for November 11. Requires Build 26200.7019 / 26100.7019 or newer.

@TheRobKennedy @WindowsLatest When it did work correctly, it would apply the update, reboot and then shutdown. It stopped working somewhere around 24H2 for me and it never worked again. I’m assuming something got broke in an update that made it forget the shutdown command after it rebooted.

@WindowsLatest To be honest, I would never trust an update and shutdown. Always make sure your computer comes back to life after an update. Too much PTSD from prior Windows versions over the decades.

I’m not defending the beta of 2042 or comparing it to bf6. I was saying the game on launch day ended up significantly worse than the beta after playing both. The amount of issues I had on launch was way more than when I played the beta. That’s it. And for this reason I won’t be pre-ordering or judging bf6 based off the beta alone. If others want to, go for it. It’s your money.

I think the pre-order crowd is winning the "no pre-orders" battle. Honestly? The transparency by the devs this time around is selling people that Battlefield is back.

@nighttime1998 @MoiDawg I said the same thing for the 2042 beta and that beta and final product might as well have been 2 totally different games because the experiences weren’t even remotely similar. In other words even the beta isn’t enough to go on with Dice/EA.

@sageofzed @hartgoat Most F-150s and larger Ford SUVs are made in the US. It’s the cars and smaller SUV’s that are made in Mexico. Being that this is a Raptor it’s likely made at one of the Michigan plants.
