In the late 1980s, Akira Toriyama made the decision to turn Goku into a married man with a child from that marriage. Toriyama thought it was a great idea because, up until that point, no children’s Shonen manga had ever done something like that. He wanted Dragon Ball to be a pioneer in something that wasn’t yet normalized.

@thegauguy Good PR is nevertheless important and part of a FM's job description. Germany's reputation on Ukraine still suffers from the 5000 helmets and while other countries benefited from making empty demands (like delivering Leopards' without Berlin's approval).

I wouldn’t say this is difficult, I would say it’s completely delusional from our Foreign Minister. Trying to get another €90 billion in unplanned Ukraine assistance via bilateral assistance of NATO members.

@MiddleEarth_xD They have noreason to be scared. 1 in this picture got a Maia killed, 1 helped to kill the Witch King and 1 wounded (maybe killed) the offspring of the giant spider which almost devoured Morgoth himself. They'll be fine.

🇩🇪 Former German Chancellor Scholz: Putin must not win the war. That was the aim. And honestly, he will not win the war. Go through all his aims: he will not reach a single one of them. NATO was founded — as a famous American military officer once said — for keeping the Russians out, keeping the United States in, and keeping the Germans down. There is a sense in it.

@toddmh1969 @deaidua The Ukrainians had to ration their shells become demand far surpassed the supply. And even now there are news of shortages.

@deaidua are they still using the same amounts of rounds over the years of fighting? With the loss of guns and the rise of drones, I was thinking the numbers would fall a bit.. Wait.. What was I thinking lol if there is a shell , someone will fire it lol

My latest piece → According to the Ukrainian MoD, Germany’s commitments to the Czech ammunition initiative have so far been more substantial than previously known. Around €300 million have been invested without any public announcement. deaidua.org/news/2026/05/1…

I have a hard time imagining a less suitable person. Angela Merkel vetoed Ukraine’s admission to NATO in 2008. She thought it was a good idea to buy gas from Russia. She thought it was a good idea to shut down nuclear power in Germany. She thought it was a good idea to sign up to spending 2 percent of GDP on defense — and then ran away from the commitment. She thought it was a good idea to invite hundreds of thousands of more or less dubious refugees to Europe. And on top of that, she believed that “Handel” would lead to positive “Wandel”. There is no single individual who has exposed Europe to greater risks since the fall of the Berlin Wall than Angela Merkel.
Savchenko Volodymyr@SavchenkoReview

🇩🇪🇺🇦 Spiegel: In political circles, Merkel is called the best candidate for the role of mediator, as she is personally acquainted with both Zelensky and Putin.

@bgc_reptilia @amanpour @AlexGabuev NATO prevented the countries who joined from sharing the fate Chechnya and other parts of the Soviet Empire who wanted to be from Russian hegemony. Without NATO, Putin would have long ago invaded the Baltic states.

@bgc_reptilia @amanpour @AlexGabuev You are aware that Russia a) repeatedly confirmed the right of its neighbours to join alliances b) signed off on all NATO expansions c) was consulted on each step and placated in turn e.g. by being allowed to join the G7 d) signed multiple treaties with Ukraine? If anything

"This guy has a risk appetite and resources that some people underestimate, given the miserable performance of Russia at the battlefield." Russia expert @AlexGabuev played Vladimir Putin in a German war game. He tells me it was a "very sad feeling," impersonating the man destroying Ukraine.

@bgc_reptilia @amanpour @AlexGabuev 1. Russia has literally locked itself into an all-out war that will soon have lasted longer than WWI because it wants nothing short of total victory. 2. Putin's regime needs enmity with the West, it is the only justification it has to its left. Which anyone familiar with Russia 1

@bgc_reptilia @amanpour @AlexGabuev Putin could have saved countless lifes if he had taken the concessions offered to him by Biden and other Western politicians before February 2022. Or indeed, had accepted any of the cease fire proposals. But he accepts nothing short of Ukraine's complete subjugation.

@bgc_reptilia @amanpour @AlexGabuev Putin could accept the ceasefire and effectively walk away with 20% of Ukraine's territory. Which any reasonable leader would accept. Instead he demands even more, including the fortress belt that he was failed ro conquer in 4+ years.

@TacitusScriptor @amanpour @AlexGabuev No leader winning a war would agree to ceasefires and allow the other side to regroup. Unfortunately, Ukraine has lost, and the longer it takes to accept it, the worse it is for Ukrainians. It's Europe that seems to want to lock itself into a long war with Russia.
