@SpinoAxol I've never liked the upgrade template. It seems unnecessary because Netherite was already reasonably difficult to craft. All the upgrade template did was make getting the armor even more difficult, and make multiplayer servers a nightmare

@LateNightHalo @Mr_Rebs_ At that point, why not play the recreations done within Halo Infinites forge? It uses the same assets and doesn't cost $30+ to play. Or, alternatively, play one of the many mods on the Steam workshop. Halo Studios should have higher standards than forgers/modders 2/2

@LateNightHalo @Mr_Rebs_ I think it's a huge mistake and simply comes across as lazy. The Infinite assets don't resemble the og, which was a huge problem with CEA. Making the same mistakes only to remove the multiplayer and make the game run worse isn't what anyone would consider quality 1/2

According to @Mr_Rebs_ , Halo Campaign Evolved's reused Infinite assets will see no changes to make them more like CE despite the negative reaction Do you think this is a mistake or no?

@MinecraftMeme16 The implementation of dog armor was terrible. Instead of using the same materials as every other armor in the game, you need armadillo scutes to craft the armor, which is the only reason to get them. Also, the new overworld might look better, but it's arguably worse for building

@JasperBoerstra The comparison was only meant to illustrate the difference in style. Although it wasn't 1:1, their point was that the added details and smooth textures feel different than the og, not necessarily worse, but definitely different.

not me being dragged in the tweets being attributed to random mario sprite edits to illustrate an "art style" that is not applicable to 2D sprites

It took 17 years for Assassin's Creed franchise to get here. Please don't return to CLASSIC 1 button combat where no skill was required. This is PERFECT.

@TheHiddenOneAC It's not just the finishers. Despite Black Flag's combat being, arguably, way too easy, it also made you feel lethal and efficient. The RPG series doesn't make you feel like an Assassin imo. The combat should make you feel like Edward in the intro without sacrificing challenge

The appeal for classic combat is just a strong desire for the finishers. I mean look at this video he's referencing. It's a finisher showcase, NOT a combat showcase. We want the cinematic style finishers back, but can we not pretend the old one button counter kill combat was superior gameplay to literal hitbox based combat? You are lying to yourself at that point.
Synth Potato🥔@SynthPotato

Assassin's Creed's classic combat system with those FIRE finisher animations will ALWAYS be superior to the new RPG damage numbers combat with enemies that take 50 slashes to defeat just because you don't have a purple sword. We need a return to this.

@eckoxsoldier I'd love to see the desert get updated. If they added occasional sandstorms, you could place a couldron and collect balls of sand. Renewable sand and more vegetation in the desert would be great

@LumaHoneyy Objectively, I think the bottom textures look better. However, I think the top textures feel more appropriate to Minecraft. It's kind of like dragging textures from Terraria and dropping them into Minecraft. Sure, they'd be good, but they'd feel off

@silly_vyxia @greenrayfr I think both look bad for different reasons. The old one is more iconic and fits better, but is also an eye-sore. The new one looks better, but is too smooth, doesn't fit the Nether and still isn't very good for building. I think a blend between the two would be good

@TheNCSmaster It's definitely a mindset thing to a degree. Emulators can be a bit tricky to setup, so you might have to restart a game repeatedly to see it run correctly. It gets to the point where it feels like progress is only temporary, so what's even the point?

Am I crazy for feeling like emulating a game just doesn’t carry the same vibe as playing it on actual hardware? I’ve played and beaten multiple games on emulator both phone and PC, and it works, but it doesn’t feel the same for whatever reason

@TheMG3D 3. It's bad for the environment. Of course, nothing it does matters if it destroys the environment in the process. Their data centers produce alot of heat to run, which pollutes fresh water and make a ton of noise, etc., all of which can be very harmful

@TheMG3D 2. The way companies want to use AI is terrible. Although AI *can* be used for good reasons, it's instead being used to replace artists, run security, play games for you, etc. None of which is good. Detecting cancer, aiding humans in repetitive tasks, etc. makes more sense.

Twitter is great now because it’s an algorithmically sorted feed of day old AI generated videos with 20 top replies asking grok “is this real”. News and critical thinking are bad so this is beneficial to society

@AyLaRMC It's also worth noting that the old fog on the lower render distance looked more realistic. In the right image, the fog shouldn't begin around the horizon. Those trees in the middle should be far lighter

@AyLaRMC Depends what you mean by "old style." The old fog objectively looked better because it was thicker and had a more gradual transition

Hot take No extrañan el estilo anterior, extrañan la pura niebla antigua con los chunks bajos Con los chunks altos pierde todo el chiste, se ve como Minecraft actual pero con peores paisajes y texturas

@Minecraft what happened with this Minecraft? I want Minecraft art design to go in this direction. Not in textures, in ambience. They have to return that misterious feeling. Like there is always something I don't know, that uncertainty made the game feel bigger. Infinite, of what could be

@harristic_ I don't like how smooth the newer textures are, nor how realistic the terrain has become. It almost feels like they're embarrassed to embrace the "Minecraft style." Of course, that being said, that's just my opinion. I'm glad you like how the game looks now

@IrisShaders LCE isn't better than Java, but it's so much better than Bedrock in most ways. Sure, Bedrock has addon support, in addition to the newest updates and features. However, the bugs, changes, and Marketplace make it a worse experience overall
