“This is why public school is a JOKE. And honestly… I’m concerned for the next generation of kids. A couple weeks ago, we pulled our kids out of school to take them on vacation. They’re in 3rd grade, 2nd grade, and kindergarten. We let the teachers know ahead of time. Asked for assignments so they wouldn’t fall behind. Their response? “Don’t worry about it… we’ll catch them up when they get back.” No big deal, right? Except the day we leave… the school district starts hounding us. Threatening to report us to the county if the kids miss any more days. Our kids rarely miss school. Are we seriously not allowed to take them anywhere?? Fast forward: we get back, and my son comes home with a mountain of worksheets. No explanation. No instruction. Just, “Here. Figure it out.” So he spends hours working through it over the next week. And I’m looking at this stuff thinking… what the hell is this?? Keep in mind, I’m college-educated and run multiple successful businesses. And I can’t even make sense of it. Questions like: “Sam has 155 clams. Richard gives him 137 peaches. If the cows moo while facing north, how many snow cones does he have?” What are they even learning in there? Then — a week later — his teacher messages us: “He got almost all the answers wrong. He’s now failing English.” So we reach out. Ask if he can redo the assignments. Not just for a better grade… but so he can actually learn the material. Her response? “No. He can’t redo it.” We try to work with her. Offer to compromise. Her answer? “Maybe you shouldn’t go on vacation.” I’m done, dude. Our kids are in ELEMENTARY school. And this is already the circus we’re dealing with. I don’t want to homeschool. I never thought I’d even consider it. But the way this system is run? It’s starting to look like the better option. So here’s my honest question: What are we supposed to do? Bud, I’m not saying teachers shouldn’t give assignments ahead of time to students who will be gone. In fact, the kid in the post did get the assignments. However, kids should not get preferential treatment if they don’t understand what was taught while they were on vacation while their classmates were in class.

@TakesUnited @MrPitbull07 In 1997 my brother and I were giving all our assignments for the week when we went to Disney. Underpaid teachers can't give assignments to students? If being underpaid is an issue, get a different job. Teachers have lesson plans, they aren't winging it.

Jeff I’m a red blooded combat veteran. I don’t think this is a political issue, my friend. This is about being a good teammate and respecting that the teachers are responsible for the well being and education of the entire classroom not just one individual who decided their vaction was more important than everyone else’s time

@TakesUnited @MrPitbull07 Yeah, they can & they do. We did it almost every single year & the teachers always gave our kids the work to do while we were gone. Turned the work in on Monday when we returned & moved right along. I guess when you live in a red state where people have a brain, you can do this.

Agree with the $OPEN sentiment here… Seems like the team is executing at ⚡️ speeds but there’s something missing in terms of nationwide rollout plus higher offers != a huge step function jump in acquisition contracts We’re only roughly double when Kaz took over in September when I would have expected 3-4x plus AT LEAST considering we’re heading into peak buying season. Their own HIGH estimate suggests a gap of 1300 contracts which would translate roughly into another 70-80 contracts a week since Kaz joined. Maybe lack of on-the-ground ops? Or we’ll see a spike in agent / partner referral revenue? Curious what others think here…
