Bridging the divide between the East and the West, and aiming to create a harmonious society in Afghanistan for all ethnic groups. Visit Afghanistan, it's safe.

The issue is not about the "ties" between HTS and al Qaeda. The real question is whether HTS is, and has been, jihadist. All evidence shows that HTS was and remains jihadist, similar to groups like al Qaeda, Lashkar-e-Taiba, ISIS, Al-Shabaab, and Boko Haram. As long as the regime that HTS seized in December has not rejected jihadism, it remains a jihadist entity. Those who claim otherwise should come forward and present their evidence in Congress

Intel Briefing and Update: On June 24th, we reported that Hamza Bin Laden, the de facto leader of Al-Qaida, dispatched a Saudi national from Afghanistan to order Al-Shabab to carry out a terrorist attack in Mogadishu, Somalia. Al-Shabab executed this attack on July 9th at a military base in Mogadishu, marking Hamza Bin Laden’s first operational terrorist attack in Africa. Intel Briefing: 1. The attack resulted in the deaths of 12 soldiers, including several high-ranking commanders. There were hundreds of unreported injuries, as the Somali government is restricting media access to the incident. 2. During the attack, the director of the Somali National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA), Mahad, was near the location where he was holding a meeting with foreign intelligence officials, who managed to escape the attack. Their nationalities will be confirmed later. 3. According to a military intelligence source who provided us with some intel and photos, Al-Qaida is also planning to conduct major attacks against U.S. and U.K. embassies, as well as the residence of the Somali president. Intel Judgment: This attack is a significant blow to the Mogadishu government and the international community, which are preoccupied with Somalia's political instability and the negligence of the war against Al-Shabab and essential counterintelligence measures to deter terrorist attacks. This incident serves as a signature operation for Hamza Bin Laden, marking his first terrorist operation in Africa since his father orchestrated the attacks on the U.S. embassies in Kenya and Tanzania in 1998. .
