@rebeccaoco Finally id love to see kore commentary on the way pensions link into IHT. #15 suggests moving pension cash into ISAs but that could be a.foolish move if they arent spent. They will be in the estate and taxed at up to 40%.

@rebeccaoco The pension rules have changed so much with the death of forced annuities there are so many more choices. Also the length of most lives now mean there has to be a better plan to provide between 55 and 85.

@rebeccaoco Excellent article thankyou. I imagine many people 40 and under wont view drawdown as the end point, in the same way older people and retirees do. If you dont need a lump sum then keeping your pot invested, as you can now do, is surely the sensible thing. A bank account for life.

@lottyburns I did a hypnobirthing course & read loads on it. Found a lot of convincing arguments about not preventing the pain. Labour is not injury pain it is muscle pain...the difference being that your labouring brain can cope whereas an injury requires a recovery response. Up to you!!

Just laying in bed thinking why are women seriously encouraged to not have any painkillers when giving birth? Like - what the fuck? I was properly brainwashed into refusing paracetamol (for the first 7 cm then it all changed). I take paracetamol for minor headaches.

@lottyburns You could apply this to breastfeeding. It doesnt change outcomes for life to my knowledge. A mother may not have breastfed one child and chooses to second time around. Does it matter to the baby and the mother? Well yes! And its argued strongly both ways depending on the mum!

@lottyburns It doesnt mean you should enjoy pain. It doesnt mean that for lots of births medication is a good thing. Its just a current trend to give mothers and babies a good experience and a good recovery. And if a women prefers drugs before/during/after that is still her call.

@lottyburns Because you cant please everyone. And right now in the UK theres been a movement to give women back the mindset of fully taking on natural labour as much as possible. And for many women that helps demystify what has become avery male dominated drugs-for-everything mentality.
