It is somewhat baffling, though, that the federal government – which has all of the resources it could possibly want, and could assemble teams of experts on any topic they wanted to – instead chose to use AI to produce what they’re calling a “transformational“ report.

@Tallscreen Your house address twins blog popped up in the @infraclub slack and I'm slightly surprised you're not in there - it might be ...up your street?

I’m not saying three decades as a media analyst has changed my brain, but I just busted a local estate agent for using the same stock image of clouds for two different properties.

@PulpLibrarian This is a weirdly erotic image for a book about learning a computer programming language.

Last January, I noticed something peculiar in my 2yo’s bedroom that - after a year of obsessive reporting - led me to a profound cosmic revelation about what’s even possible in our universe. A 🧵.

All four people currently depicted on the reverse of Bank of England banknotes either died at the age of 41 or were portrayed in a film by Timothy Spall.

It's really funny how America and the UK stopped investing in infrastructure in the 1980s because the free market will pave potholes and make the trains run on time and now literally nothing works and you cannot go anywhere or do anything but like 4 people are richer than God.

Receiving some feedback, along the lines of "why are you opposed to NHS privatisation if the businesses make things more efficient?" We have been researching this for a while. We haven't come across a single example of a private company making things more efficient in the NHS.

One of my favourite random facts about London transport: As a pedestrian, you can walk across the Thames through the Blackfriars station platforms, but... you need a special ticket. It costs £0.10 and can only be purchased at the station.

I’ve been bingeing on Golden Age mysteries for a while as they are the greatest and came across this from 1939, re a fascist plot to undermine democracy.. :-/ (Smiler With the Knife, Nicholas Blake aka Cecil Day Lewis) . So have you heard the US is a republic not a democracy…
