The Carney Files 🇨🇦 | Sourced
🚨👀 Carney pitched investors on using government policy to force profits for Brookfield. Then he became Prime Minister. Listen to what he says about their investment in sustainable aviation fuel (SAF): Interviewer: "You raised the capital… but the investment only works if government policy forces the demand. So are you going to go back to the public sector to drive that policy?" Carney: "I'm already advising governments… pro bono." Then, seconds later: "We Brookfield put a billion dollars to work there… the policy has to drive it." He was explaining how Brookfield's $2.1 billion investment in sustainable aviation fuel companies guarantees profits. How? The government simply forces airlines to buy the fuel — a fuel that costs 5 to 10 times more than regular jet fuel. Airlines would never buy it voluntarily. He's done this before. While advising the British government on its National Wealth Fund task force, the UK SAF mandate — the exact type of policy he was pitching investors on — came into force in January 2025, three months after the Prime Quadrant pitch. British Airways signed a 10-year offtake deal with the Brookfield-backed company that same year. The government Carney was advising at that exact moment? Justin Trudeau's. He remained Chair of Brookfield Asset Management until January 16, 2025 — the same day he announced he was running for office. 👀 Nine months later, Brookfield closed the largest private energy transition fund in history at a record $23.5 billion. And there are no limits to what he's willing to do to protect it. When Air Canada's CEO Michael Rousseau publicly resisted the mandates — asking for time, asking for domestic supply, doing his job — Carney got rid of him in the most calculated way imaginable. Two pilots tragically died at LaGuardia. Rousseau posted a condolence video in English. The Prime Minister of Canada — the first PM in 50 years who cannot speak French fluently, the first in modern history with no French speechwriter in his office — called it a "lack of compassion." He demanded the next CEO be bilingual. He said it in English. One week later, the most successful airline CEO in modern Canadian history was gone. The replacement criteria? Bilingual. And committed to "sustainability goals." Mark Carney didn't become Prime Minister to serve Canada. He became Prime Minister to protect Brookfield's investments. This is not liberal vs conservative. This is about a Prime Minister who puts the interests of his company above those of Canadians. 🇨🇦 Quote this post. Tag your MP. Tell them you want the 7/50 reform — the constitutional rule that lets 7 provinces representing 50% of Canadians force change. Every sourced receipt in the thread below 👇 Follow along, and stand on guard with us. We give Canadians receipts they haven't seen yet. 🇨🇦 #StandOnGuard #StandOnGuardCanada

Say what you want about the convoy protests in Ottawa, but what happened to Tamara Lich should concern all of us. Tamara took a stand during a difficult time in Canada. In response, she faced a level of enforcement that many believe was excessive and intended to discourage others from speaking out. A grandmother. No criminal history. Yet treated as if she were a violent threat. A Canada-wide warrant issued for her arrest for an alleged bail breach and then locked up in jail without bail. This isn’t just about one case. It’s about how far authorities can go when people challenge government decisions. Now she’s in a legal fight that could set important precedents. If fairness, accountability, and civil liberties matter to you, this is worth supporting and watching closely. givesendgo.com/my-stand-again…
Tamara Lich 🇨🇦@LichTamara

My Stand Against Malicious Prosecution and Negligent Investigation: Over 4 years have passed since the peaceful Freedom Convoy which saw many truckers and supporters, including Chris Barber and myself, arrested on the streets of Ottawa. What followed was the longest mischief trial in the history of the Commonwealth. Both of us were convicted of mischief for our part in the most peaceful and polite protest of all time, and sentenced to 18 months of house arrest. Even more outrageous? A single group photo at a JCCF awards dinner in Toronto while surrounded by lawyers, fully allowed under my bail conditions, triggered a Canada-wide arrest warrant for an alleged breach of conditions, which did not occur. There was no investigation. No call to my lawyer. It was issued like I was a violent criminal. Homicide detectives flew me back to Ottawa in leg shackles, I lost my job, precious time with my family, was denied bail, and spent 30 days in remand. All for a non-violent mischief case. I'm pleased to announce that I have filed a lawsuit against the Ottawa Police, the Crown prosecutor, and others for malicious prosecution & negligent investigation because this isn’t just about me; it’s about stopping this kind of abuse so no Canadian ever faces it again. This will be a daunting undertaking and for that reason I have started a GiveSendGo campaign in hopes to help fund the fight, including a $25,000,00 retainer and costs estimated at around $100,000.00. I've included the campaign link below and the full statement of claim is available at officialtamaralich.com Thank you to everyone for all your love, support, and encouragement these past few years and for helping me continue the fight. givesendgo.com/my-stand-again…

Canada's Prime Minister is being asked to sell his investments because parliament can't figure out if he's governing Canada or protecting his own financial interests in China. On April 25, 2026, Canada's Standing Committee on Ethics tabled a 79-page report recommending that Prime Minister Mark Carney, and all future prime ministers, be required to fully divest their investments within 60 days of taking office. The central finding is blunt: blind trusts, the arrangement Carney currently uses to hold his substantial stake in Brookfield Corporation, the global investment giant he helped lead before entering politics, are not sufficient to prevent conflicts of interest at the highest level of government. The China dimension of this story is what makes it serious beyond standard political ethics debates. Testimony before the committee revealed that while Carney served as an economic advisor to former Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, he traveled to Beijing in October 2024 and met with Beijing Mayor Yin Yong, a senior Chinese Communist Party official, on the sidelines of a financial forum. The CCP's own official readout of that meeting stated that Carney highlighted Brookfield's "keen interest in seizing development opportunities in China" and deepening cooperation in green finance, infrastructure investment, and fund management. Six weeks after that meeting, Brookfield secured a $276 million loan from the Bank of China, collateralized against Brookfield's Shanghai real estate holdings, which had fallen sharply in value. Carney announced his candidacy for Liberal Party leadership roughly three months later. The committee also heard testimony that Brookfield operates investment funds worth approximately $25 billion registered in Bermuda, and uses subsidiaries in tax havens and trust structures across multiple jurisdictions. When asked directly whether those same structures could shield a public office holder's financial interests from scrutiny under Canada's ethics laws, an independent tax accountability researcher testified with one word: "Absolutely." The Conflict of Interest Commissioner confirmed that Carney's assets can continue to grow in value while he leads Canada, and that decisions he makes as Prime Minister affecting companies in his blind trust could directly benefit him financially. Neither administrator of his ethics screen knows the specific assets inside the fund tied to his bonus pay, potentially worth tens of millions of dollars. Carney signed a strategic partnership with Beijing in January 2026, positioning China as Canada's key economic alternative in a shifting global order. He did this while holding undisclosed financial interests in a company that had just secured a nine-figure Chinese state bank loan and whose senior leadership had been explicitly encouraged by a CCP official to "seize opportunities" in China. Parliament's ethics watchdog is now asking whether Canada's Prime Minister is making decisions for Canadians or for Brookfield. The fact that the question cannot currently be answered with certainty is itself the answer. #Canada #Carney #Brookfield #China #CCP #Ethics #ConflictOfInterest #CanadianPolitics #Transparency #Geopolitics

What is the first thing Mark Carney does with his majority? Give himself the power to block investigations into Liberal corruption. Conservatives are fighting for hard-working Canadian families like yours while Liberals only look out for themselves. For all the details, watch this!

I didn't want to interrupt everybody's fun laughing at the NDP convention. But enough time has passed to point out: Carney and the Liberal Party actually implement that same wacky ideology through public policy every day. Instead of "equity cards," they have "equity employment."

@FoodProfessor Government run grocery stores will be no different than handing out stimulus checks. This doesn’t solve the problem of food getting more expensive, it’s just going to add another expense for the taxpayer making things more expensive. This will spiral out of control.

In the coming days, Canada's opposition parties are going to have to decide whether they support Bill C-22, the #LawfulAccess Act. They--and all Canadians--need to consider whether this massive surveillance infrastructure is what we want. Or will tolerate.

I need your help. We can stop this. 9,100 jobs are on the line in BC. A sector that generates $1.3 Billion.  And it’s not China nor US tariffs threatening us. It’s the BC government.  Why? It comes down to the fact that Salmon may no longer be treated as a public resource. In British Columbia, recreational fishers could lose priority access to chinook and coho, key species of Salmon.  Under the proposal, sport fishing moves to the back of the line. Priority will now be: 1) First Nations 2) Commercial fisheries 3) Recreational fisheries (which effectively means the industry dies) Small coastal towns depend on it. Their proposal means less access & economic destruction. We have the opportunity to stop this. It’s not too late.  Business will go bankrupt overnight.

Absolutely egregious. Not only are the Liberals refusing to let us study Bill C-16 and protect women and children, they're trying to ram their censorship bill, C-9, through committee with just TWO HOURS of debate on amendments, after which it would automatically go to a vote.

Dear Canadian Conservatives, During this terrifying, harrowing moment in history, Conservatives need to soberly reflect on what's best for Canada. Is Pierre the best most honourable person you can offer Canadians? Clearly not. We all know it, and you know it. His fawning praise of Donald Trump is unforgivable. It shows he doesn't have the character required for the high office he occupies. It's important Canada's opposition leader is someone Canadians can trust to choose Canada over political expediency. He gives comfort to anti-democracy extremists. He needs to go. Please act. You have a long list of capable, talented people who are very experienced and fit for high office. There's no good earthly reason you need to stick with Pierre.

The point that people are having a problem with is that Mark Carney ran on China is the biggest security threat and now he’s saying we’re making a New World order with China. Do you not have a problem with his flip-flopping? It shouldn’t matter what end of the political spectrum you are on, we need to be holding all our politicians accountable.
