Was talking to a co-worker who's writing an interesting piece on the human AI coexistence. I'm calling it the "Nature-Human-Techno Genesis" adding the nature dimension. Every effort -natural or otherwise - has a marginal cost. And one factor of production will only dominate till factor marginal costs converge. (Yes I perceive Nature to be that 5th FoP we never studied in Economics classes) Hypothesis just makes more sense to me than all the doomsday scenarios. Let's not forget that every single FoP mentioned has proven itself dynamic and adaptable. History is witness #AI #Human #Nature #technology

The pace of Micron’s rise to becoming a $1 trillion company is unprecedented. The dot-com boom created millionaires. The aftermath of the 2008 financial crisis minted billionaires. The AI revolution is resulting in trillionaires. wsj.com/finance/stocks…

Traders aren't listening as much to Fed speak as forward guidance and instead are pricing in rate hikes with more certainty than what's coming from US central bankers. Last week, US 2-year yields climbed to 50bp above the Fed funds rate, the biggest gap since late 2022.

Between asset bubbles forming, geopolitical shocks every few months and fundamentals completely taking a backseat, this decade is getting increasingly rough for the average retail investor. Once glorified SIPs and Indexes are no more reliable. Even private equity is riskier today than 6 years ago. Risk weighted returns are taking a hammering. Efficient frontiers just shifted right significantly. As an arb originator been trying to find some asset that has potential but isn't completely overeaten by big funds. Commodities, Real Estate, Equity, Bonds. Other than derivative speculation what real investment opportunities are managers looking at for the medium term?

Kind of contradictory logic there. If people have been DMing you that your Masters is "Impressive" then surely the degree does hold a lot of value. Your lying about it does not take anything away from the degree as such. Outreach doesn't warrant background checks. Eventually you'll not get anything out of it once they know you lied.

Over 13% of US credit card balances are now 90+ days delinquent, the highest percentage since 2011. The average interest rate on this debt is 21%. This is the #1 wealth killer in America by a landslide.

@eiszett Have you read all the sources you ever cited? During my PhD we, along with dozens of other papers, cited a paper that I later found did not contain the result for which it was commonly cited. I should be banned I guess.

I pressed my prime minister Jonas Gahr Støre yesterday on why we should help elevate India’s position on the international stage. Støre said: The areas where we have different point of views should not stop cooperation on the topics we do agree on such as security, climate & technology. He also argues that is the way to impact eachother and share experiences.
