@RaghavBasu @SkodaIndia Firstly extremely sorry to hear the harrowing experience you had with Skoda. The company is fully responsible for the accident and for providing such useless driver. Signing a waiver can’t and doesn’t waive Skoda liability. Hire a good lawyer and I pray and hope it will be sorted

AVOID @SkodaIndia CARS - MY NIGHTMARE WITH SKODA SERVICE CENTER
So I scheduled for the home pickup of my Kylaq for the welcome service (my car had just hit the 1000 km mark). The driver from the service Center arrived early morning, made me sign the form for handover

@anuragsingh_as Bought TCS @ 3400 & then did tax loss harvesting in March 2026. But it also gave me reentry point @ 2375 during the crash due to Iran conflict. Now my breakeven is at 2800 and I am holding to exit. I am not bullish on IT. The valuation is better than mamanagement commentary.

Buy call on large cap IT:
Change of stance
Almost everyone in India markets was buying #TCS at 4000 in 2021-22. Even when Tata Sons sold some stake. Funds were happy to accumulate.
Today, at 2200, nearly everyone is suggesting a sell. The only sector that’s available at reasonable valuation is a consensus sell by the domestic funds. Some are even talking about chucking IT cos out of #Nifty50 index. Shows how short term momentum trading can grip investors.
Buy at 4000 but sell at 2000. All within 3 years. How will domestic long term investors make money when everyone behaves like a short term trader?
My take - large cap IT is the only reasonable value sector today followed by large banks. You can buy for superior long term returns and dividends. Everything else is a wealth killer. Just like last few years.
Caution- it may still correct by 20%. FIIs may still sell IT as #Accenture & #TCS have same market cap. They hold $100 BN of IT. But that’s the India capital control at work. That will stay.

@amazonIN I purchased courier bags from you . I ordered 25 bags, but only 23 were delivered, so 2 items were missing. I clearly mentioned this in my review and raised a genuine concern about the seller. However, my review was not allowed to be posted. It seems only positive reviews are being accepted for window dressing, while honest cheating reviews are deliberately blocked. The credibility of such positive reviews becomes highly questionable ! This gives the impression that you are hand in glove with the seller and not protecting customers. This is unfair trade practice.
Shame on you #amazon #ecom #review #amazonindia #malpractice

@Ajay_Bagga I know sir you are respected analyst but you live in a country where there are no credible statistics of employment. So please stop talking about USA. Start talking about our own country which has been left for the dogs.

कार अपनी औकात से खरीदो
I feel every man should buy a car according to his real aukat.
Aukat is not shown by money sitting in your bank account or your big net worth. Those numbers look nice on paper, but they don’t tell the truth.
Your true aukat comes out the moment your car gets a small thuk (bump or scratch) on the road.
If you jump out, start shouting, fighting, or get into road rage – then brother, you bought a car bigger than your aukat.
But if you calmly get down, don’t even bend to check “kaha lagi, kitni lagi”, just look once, smile, and drive away without any tension… that is your real aukat.
So my simple advice is this:
Buy only that car whose repair cost you can ignore like dust on your shoe.
Buy a car that, even after getting scratched, you can forget in two minutes.
Don’t buy a car that will make you lose your sleep, your peace, or your self-respect over a small dent.
Live within your aukat.
Drive in peace.
Stay happy.
That’s the real flex.

@iamrakeshbansal You are right. Worst thing is the person who can't even afford tyre of a luxury car, judges customers ability to buy it. India is full of uneducated, backwoodsman and rustic people.

Luxury Car Makers Now Watching Petrol Prices?
BMW Group India President recently said that higher fuel prices and the push for ethanol blending may speed up the shift to electric vehicles (EVs) in India.
My simple question is this:
Since when did luxury car companies start checking petrol prices so closely?
Luxury cars were always sold as a symbol of success – not something you buy after calculating running cost.
From my personal experience, this attitude already exists in luxury showrooms.
The moment you ask the sales executive about the car’s average (mileage), their interest drops instantly.
By default, they judge you – “Yeh average dekhne wala aadmi luxury car nahi kharidega.” They lose energy and treat you differently.
What do you think?

@RavinderAjmani1 @FinAspiration Flat doesn't appreciate over very long term it actually depreciates. Unlike land there is no appreciation in flat. Ask AI it will make you understand. It requires reinvestment by developer and considerable rebuilding of tower and occupation of free space to even break even.

At Delhi airport today, I had a bizarre experience with @DelhiCapitals staff. The players were at Costa Coffee, casually standing and blocking the way. I made a simple, polite remark that it’s not easy to recognize players off-screen—no photos, no disturbance, not even asking for a picture.
Instead of a normal response, one of their accompanying staff members aggressively shouted at me, behaved like some kind of authority, and even claimed he’s “not a civilian” despite being in plain clothes. Completely unwarranted and unacceptable conduct in a public space.
To be clear, David Miller himself was courteous and said there was no issue. The concern is the attitude of certain staff who act entitled and disrespectful toward the very public that supports this sport.
Being on television does not place anyone above others. Basic civility and respect toward fellow citizens is expected, especially in public spaces like airports.
@DelhiCapitals @IPL please take note.

@scorprian @_PVRCinemas Not sure which popcorn variety is yours. I saw it in director's cut in a seperate theater - lounge variant and the food was even more expensive. We returned the food without a refund. The staff was argumentative. Cant eat trash.
English

₹2500 for the movie ticket and another ₹2000 for popcorn and snacks .. all for the “experience.”
And this is the popcorn that was served… completely burnt🤮
Looks like @_PVRCinemas still hasn’t learned..charging almost 600 for this burnt popcorn..pathetic !!
Riding the #Dhurandhar2 wave for now, but once the hype fades, service like this is what people will remember..
Better to watch movie at home on OTT and save 4500Rs ..

@imYadav31 Pathetic service by Daikin. Even I am looking for extended warranty / AMC on my Daikin - would keep this in mind. Thanks.
English

Bought an AC from Daikin. Thought It would do things “properly” this time.
Paid 2x for their official AMC....peace of mind, right? Then the story begins…
Visited the same center from where I bought AMC → “Sir, raise complaint online.”
Raised it online → got assigned a different center.
That center → “Sir, AMC wala center will handle this.”
Back to square one.
3 touchpoints.
0 accountability.
If this is the experience after paying a premium, what’s the point?Big brand, but no clear SOP.
@DaikinIndia please fix this.
Customers shouldn’t be doing ping-pong for basic service.

Why is the government wasting parliament's time in such stupid motions that have no consequence? Why can't you guys just skip to voting? Amend the laws if needed rather than wasting resources. Every week you get some moron wanting you to impeach, remove of do some shit that you shouldnt be doing. But you do it any way. What should we take from this?

Trump #Tariffs: Long Post:
All you need to know.
Trump Tariffs have lost the sting forever.
Here's why?
The Supreme court decision last week rendered the IEEPA tariffs illegal. Almost 75% of the tariffs collection was under this category, wherein the president could unilaterally raise rates to whatever he liked & also allow exemptions to the same. He had the best of both.
This had created a system of corporate lobbying to get exemptions which was unprecedented in American history. This is certainly not the American way to run businesses. Laws should not be a function of what president decides & this discretion now has been rightfully taken away.
The founding fathers probably never intended the president to be the dealmaker of this kind. Thanks to the courts, sanity has been restored. The business have more predictability & they can plan as per the prevailing laws. The days when we woke up & checked Truth Social on what could come next on tariffs, are over.
The current tariffs: Section 122 of the Trade Act of 1974:
President has now turned to section 122, that allows him to raise blanket tariffs on “all nations” to address “large and serious” balance-of-payments deficits. Whether that is the case is under serious debate. However, before the legal challenges are settled, the 150 days will be over. So, for all practical purposes, these will stay.
The good part – these tariffs can’t exceed 15% & there is no discretion allowed. So corporate lobbying at Mar-a-Lago is over. Only exceptions are the mutual deals done under USMCA or any other tariffs under other sections (we’ll discuss). After 150 days, this law can’t be used & tariffs will come to zero, unless permitted by congress (highly unlikely).
Section 122 can’t be country specific. It's uniform for everyone. Products from Canada and Mexico already protected by a free-trade pact covering those nations and the U.S. will be exempt. The White House said the new charge wouldn’t stack on top of tariffs imposed under Section 232. That means sectors such as cars and steel that are already subject to 25% to 50% won’t be hit with another 15%. Where does that leave us?
Section 301 of the Trade Act of 1974 (Country specific tariffs):
This provision allows Trump to impose more-permanent tariffs, like the ones he put on China during his firm term, as long as the administration can point to “unfair trade practices” in regard to the products targeted. This is likely to be completed in next 5 months. The investigation is conducted by the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR). In 2018, the USA used Section 301 to impose tariffs on imports from China over alleged intellectual property and technology transfer practices.
These tariffs can be imposed on specific countries & there are no cealing to the numbers. This is the most critical power that allows president to impose tariffs to the extent necessary.
This however has a catch. The tariffs imposed on specific nations will be across the board. So American companies can’t lobby to leave certain goods out of the list. For instance, Apple can’t argue an exemption on its phones from China or India as that may not qualify under unfair trade practices. US doesn’t manufacture phones so there is no question of unfair competition here.
So president will have his hands tied in terms of the tariffs that he could impose as it would affect ALL products from China. A much better outcome vs the arbitrary nature of tariffs we had under IEEPA. My sense is that the president may not be able to use this law beyond the already existing tariffs. In fact, he may have to lower rates since there are no exempted products now. So we’re unlikely to get any new shocks here.
Section 232 of the Trade Expansion Act of 1962: (Product-Specific tariffs)
Section 232 lets the President impose tariffs or other restrictions on specific products, regardless of country, if imports threaten U.S. national security. The investigation is conducted by the U.S. Department of Commerce.
Trump’s team has already used Section 232 to hit steel & aluminum (50%), cars (25%) and lumber as well as to open investigations on pharmaceuticals, semiconductors and other high-tech goods. In 2018, tariffs were imposed on steel and aluminum imports under Section 232, affecting multiple countries.
The good part however is that these tariffs will apply to ALL countries who export the specific product. So no country will need to lobby for a separate trade deal. Again, a great outcome for exporters to US. If steel has 50% tariffs, it is the same for every country. No deals needed.
Final take: Why the sting is lost forever?
Once the 150 days are over & the 15% tariffs are gone, the president only has section 301 (country specific) & section 232 (product specific) to leverage. These sections grant him fair but very limited discretions, unlike those that he has been leveraging under IEEPA.
If he uses section 301, the tariffs will be same for all products & that has its limitations. He can’t have prohibitive tariffs as it would also stop the necessary goods that US needs from that country. So not very useful beyond a minimal rate.
Likewise, section 232 is great to stop certain products from US markets under “national security”. But this can’t be used to negotiate with specific nations. He can once decide what products can enter the USA but after that, the best nation would win. It takes away the sting of tariffs from Trump's negotiations. This also takes away the arbitrary power from the president.
Should the president have such powers? One can argue this both ways. But the American system only allows such powers to the congress. Unlike some other nations where the government can levy prohibitive tariffs on imports. All developing countries have such trade restrictions. Unfair trade for US ? Absolutely yes. But that is the current system the lawmakers have for now. Until they decide to change it. So other nations can stop imports to USA while freely exporting to USA.
Well, on the brighter side, probably that is what has forced US companies to be the most competitive of all. And outsource the rest to the world. Because US governments can’t have protective tariffs, it makes American firms stronger in the long term. They can't hide behind protectionism. This has created a unique culture of meritocracy in USA that is unparalleled in the world. And when it comes to be the best of the best, America always wins. Those who can hide behind tariffs, never emerge out of it. This is what makes America a shining beacon of capitalism.
The uncertainty is over. Back to work. Well almost.
Cheers!
