@BrendanCarrFCC So why does FOX, NewsMax, etc still have their licenses?
English

Broadcasters that are running hoaxes and news distortions - also known as the fake news - have a chance now to correct course before their license renewals come up.
The law is clear. Broadcasters must operate in the public interest, and they will lose their licenses if they do not.
And frankly, changing course is in their own business interests since trust in legacy media has now fallen to an all time low of just 9% and are ratings disasters.
The American people have subsidized broadcasters to the tune of billions of dollars by providing free access to the nation’s airwaves.
It is very important to bring trust back into media, which has earned itself the label of fake news.
When a political candidate is able to win a landslide election victory after in the face of hoaxes and distortions, there is something very wrong. It means the public has lost faith and confidence in the media. And we can’t allow that to happen.
Time for change!

@TigTiegen @PeteHegseth I'm sure the Nazi meeting was lawful too. We know DJT demands loyalty to him above all and has on occasion dismissed aspects of the Constitution when they applied to him.
English

People love to throw around Nazi comparisons when they don’t understand how the U.S. Constitution or the military actually work. The latest? A Secretary of Defense calling all generals to D.C. has them screaming “1935 Germany” like Hitler forcing his officers to swear loyalty to him instead of their country.
Here’s reality:
Every U.S. service member swears an oath to the Constitution, not to a man. That’s the law. That oath never changes, no matter who’s in office. And every officer is bound by the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ) to refuse unlawful orders even if they come from the President himself. Blind loyalty is not only forbidden, it’s a crime.
Our system was built with checks and balances to stop exactly what happened in Nazi Germany. Civilian oversight. Separation of powers. The Supremacy Clause. The Constitution is the highest authority, and no meeting, memo, or politician can override that. If anyone tried, they’d be stopped cold in the courts, in Congress, and inside the ranks.
Comparing a lawful meeting to a dictator’s rise isn’t just ignorant it’s dangerous. Lies like that divide Americans and sow hatred where there should be strength. We’re better than that.
Learn how the system works before you light fires with fake history.
English

@PeteHegseth It's only a "cool" story if you consider yourself/administration as adhering to a Nazi playbook.

@RyanWalters_ @TPUSA Does the OEA have the ability to tell its members to strike? Does Oklahoma enter binding collective bargaining with a strike by its members an option? If not, the OEA is an ASSOCIATION and not a UNION. Good luck fighting your ghosts!
English

I am very excited to announce a partnership with @TPUSA to establish chapters in ALL Oklahoma high schools. Radical leftist teachers’ unions have dominated classrooms for far too long, and we are taking them back.

JD “I don’t give a shit” Vance says killing people he accuses of a crime is the “highest and best use of the military.”
Did he ever read To Kill a Mockingbird?
Did he ever wonder what might happen if the accused were immediately executed without trial or representation??
What a despicable and thoughtless sentiment it is to glorify killing someone without a trial.
JD Vance@JDVance
Killing cartel members who poison our fellow citizens is the highest and best use of our military.

@WhiteHouse I will still pay taxes on my SS benefits. The least you could do is be honest and transparent.

@LeonGoudikian @jonkarl The roses are no longer the focus. Btw your picture is out of date.
English

I know your readers will get all gefilte fish over the missing roses but they should know that they are still here. This angle, from a jerk photographer, sort of shows them. What they did is replace a lawn with a nice patio with drainage, so the area could be used for gatherings without standing in mud.

@RebelACole @WHarpine @ChrisMurphyCT It's ignorant to spend $1B on a plane that will never see a President fly in it (or if one does it will only be for a few months).
English

Update: I offered the amendment. Not to refuse acceptance of the Qatari jet; just to prohibit Trump from taking it with him when he leaves office - after the taxpayers spend $1 billion to retrofit it.
Failed 14-15. Every single Republican voted to allow Trump to take the jet.
Chris Murphy 🟧@ChrisMurphyCT
The fight against corruption has to be ceaseless. Today in the Appropriations Committee, I will offer an amendment to prohibit the Qatari jet that was gifted to Trump (which is going to cost taxpayers $1 billion) from being transferred to him personally. Stay tuned.
English

@RebelACole @ChrisMurphyCT Give him one of the old AF1's then (after decommissioning). We are going to spend $1B to retrofit the Qatari plane only to have most of that stripped out when it gets transferred to the library. This is beyond stupid. The retrofit won't even be ready by the time he leaves office.

@DNIGabbard "did not impact" does not absolve Russia from cyber activities aimed and "influencing" the election. That report (if you actually read it) only says that there is no evidence of actual attacks on voting infrastructure that would have changed any votes.

🧵 Americans will finally learn the truth about how in 2016, intelligence was politicized and weaponized by the most powerful people in the Obama Administration to lay the groundwork for what was essentially a years-long coup against President @realDonaldTrump, subverting the will of the American people and undermining our democratic republic. Here’s how:

English

@VitaminT800 @FLManStan @CollinRugg Democrats are already 47% in the Senate and 49% in the House with a good chance of flipping both in the midterms. Dems would win the White House hands down for decades with another conservative Party.
English

@FLManStan @CollinRugg Go back to school for math classes. Even if the new party only takes votes away from the GOP then this does not mean that Democrats will have a majority. If the votes are 45% Dem 30% GOP and 25% AP then none have a majority. The majotity will be AP + another party.
English

NEW: Poll finds that 40% of voters say they are likely to support Elon Musk's "America Party" if he decides to launch it, according to Quantus Insights.
The poll comes as Musk has threatened to launch his own political party over recent disagreements with the Republican Party.
"Time for a new political party that actually cares about the people," he recently said in a post on X.

@CollinRugg Only if it’s a centrist party cutting off the extremes of the GOP and Democrats.

@ZachMann79 @jk_rowling @FemCondition So what do you say to a(n externally) male person who actually has XY chromosomes? What do you say to someone with more than 2 "sex" chromosomes? Genetic screening is technically flawed and gender is not solely determined by one's chromosomes.
English

Bottom line is a Trans woman will NEVER truly know what it feels like to be a woman. Never know a true female orgasm. Or even the true female experience of urinating. They can only believe they do. Their male brain and body keep them from truly knowing. It's all male fantasy and erotic deviance. With people willing to ignore fact and reality while stomping on actual women and their rights as one of the official sexes of the human race. IMO anyways.
English

When you tell a woman she must pretend a man is a woman, you’re asserting the right to control her speech and perception of reality, while also trivialising and devaluing her female-specific experience. You’re asking her to agree that ‘woman’ is a concept men can embody at will.
Benjamin Ryan@benryanwriter
Misgendering is cruel and rude, no matter how many edge cases or straw man arguments people can come up with to try to assert otherwise.
English

@jk_rowling @FemCondition The problem is that "sex/gender" is not a binary condition. There are XX males and XY females meaning a quaternary condition at the very least. Multiple X/Y chromosomes can express differently as well. Do your research.
Ostrich. Sand. Mirror.
English

@FemCondition None of us has the right to compel another person’s speech or belief. You’re free to think and speak as you like. So am I.
Men are free to try and look female, or act according to their male idea of what a woman is. Women are free to disagree that those men have become women.
English

@SecDef The fact that you are changing an existing name exactly classifies the act as political. You should at least be honest and admit that. This administration is the most politically polarizing the nation has ever had (closely followed by DJT's first administration)
English

@Saritaregresa @KariLake @elonmusk @POTUS45 @POTUS47 however is not a forgiving person. Elon was used for his money during the campaign and finally sees what loyalty DJT actually has for any of his supporters (which includes all of MAGA BTW) -- that is, none. Our country is being run by toddlers.
