“According to reports, the deceased victim was identified as Qes Alemayehu Shenkute, a priest affiliated with the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church. The attack was carried out in the early morning hours by regime forces under the 112th Airborne Commando unit using a bladed weapon as the victim was heading to church for service. The incident occurred approximately 3-km from the woreda’s administration center of Shola-Gebeya. The killing is believed to be reprisal for defections of multiple military personnel the previous day (May 18th).”

የምኒልክ ዕዝ 303ኛ አሳምነው ኮር 14ኛ(ጥራሪ) ክፍለ ጦር የወታደራዊ አልባሳት ማልበስና የውስጥ ተሃድሶ መርሃ ግብር በታላቅ ስነ-ስርዓት አካሄደ። ​የ303ኛ አሳምነው ኮር 14ኛ (ጥራሪ)ክፍለ ጦር አጠቃላይ ወታደራዊ ቁመናና ዝግጁነት ሙሉ በሙሉ ለማሟላት እንዲሁም የሰራዊቱን የውስጥ አንድነትና ህብረት ይበልጥ ለማጠናከር ያለመ የውስጥ ተሃድሶ፣ የእውቅና ሽልማት መርሃ ግብር በታላቅ ወታደራዊ ስነ-ስርዓት በትናንትናው ዕለት ማለትም ግንቦት 13/2018 ዓ.ም ተካሂዷል። ​መድረኩም በምኒልክ ዕዝ ወታደራዊ አማካሪ በሆኑት ኮሎኔል ሞገስ ዘገዬ በይፋ የተከፈተ ሲሆን፣ መርሃ ግብሩ ከመጀመሩ አስቀድሞ ለህዝባዊ አላማና ለነጻነት ሲሉ ህይወታቸውን ለሰዉ ጓዶች መታሰቢያ የሚሆን የክብር የህሊና ጸሎት ተደርጓል። ከተደረገው የህሊና ጸሎት በመቀጠል የሰራዊቱን የውጊያ ወኔ፣ የጽናት ታሪክ እና የውስጥ አንድነት የሚያንጸባርቁ ልዩ ልዩ የትግል መነባንቦችና ስነ-ግጥሞች በታጋዮች ቀርበው ለታዳሚው ትልቅ ድምቀትን ፈጥረዋል። በዚህም የአፋብን ፖሊት ቢሮ አባል እና ልዩ ዘመቻ መምሪያ የሆኑት ሻለቃ ያረጋል አሰፋ፣ የምኒልክ ዕዝ ም/ሰብሳቢ አርበኛ ረዳ ዉበቱ (አባ አዝምራ) ፣ የምኒልክ ዕዝ ወታደራዊ አዛዥ አርበኛ ወንድሙ ማሩ ፣ የምኒልክ ዕዝ ፖለቲካ ጉዳዮች መምሪያ ኃላፊ አርበኛ ሞገስ አባራዉ፣ የምኒልክ ዕዝ ፅህፈት ቤት ኃላፊ አርበኛ አለምነዉ መብራቱ ፣ እና ሌሎች የድርጅት ፣የዕዝ ፣የኮር፣ የክፍለ ጦር ከፍተኛ አመራሮች ተገኝተዋል። በዚሁ ደማቅ መድረክ ላይ በትግሉ መስመር ውስጥ ከፍተኛ ተጋድሎና መስዋዕትነት ለከፈሉ የሰራዊት አባላት፣ አመራሮች የላቀ እውቅና እና የሽልማት አሰጣጥ ስነ-ስርዓት ተከናውኗል። በዚህም መሰረት፦ • ​በተለያዩ ወታደራዊ ውጊያዎች ላይ በጀግንነት ለቆሰሉ የክፍለ ጦሩ ታጋዮች የሞራልና የልዩ እውቅና ሽልማት ፣ • ​በትግሉ ላይ የህዝብን ሰላምና የውስጥ ደህንነት በበላይነት እያስጠበቁ ላሉ የጊዜያዊ ሲቪል መዋቅር አስተዳደር አካላት፣ • ​ለምኒልክ ዕዝ ለሁሉም ኮሮች እና ለልዩ ዘመቻ ልዩ ልዩ ሽልማት ተበርክቶላቸዋል። በዚህም ሽልማት ላይ ከምኒልክ ዕዝ ወደ አፋብን የስራ ኃላፊነት ተዘዋዉረው በቁርጠኝነት እያገለገሉ ለሚገኙ ከፍተኛ አመራሮች የክብር ሽልማት ተበርክቷል። ​በዚህም ሽልማት ላይ ከዚህ ቀደም የ14ኛ(ጥራሪ) ክፍለ ጦር አዛዥ ሁኖ የወታደራዊ ግዳጅ ምዕራፎች በበላይነትና በስኬት ሲመራ ለነበረዉ፣ በአሁኑ ወቅት ደግሞ የ303ኛ አሳምነው ኮር ወታደራዊ አዛዥ በመሆን እያገለገለ ለሚገኘዉ አርበኛ ብርሃን አሰፋ(ዘንዶዉ) ክፍለ ጦሯ ጥልቅ አክብሮትና ውልታ ለመግለጽ «ጥቁር ስናይፐር» ስጦታ በክብር አበርክታለታለች። የአልባሳት ማልበስና የተሃድሶ መድረኩን ተከትሎ በተከናወኑ የንግግር መርሃ ግብሮች ላይ የምኒልክ ዕዝ ፖለቲካ መምሪያ ኃላፊ አርበኛ ሞገስ አባራው ለሰራዊቱ መልዕክት ያስተላለፈ ሲሆን አርበኛው ባደረገዉ ንግግር « እናንተ የአማራ ወይም የኢትዮጲያ ብቻ ሳይሆን የምስራቅ አፍሪካ ኩራት ናችሁ» በማለት የሰራዊቱን ዓለም አቀፋዊና ቀጠናዊ የውጊያ ብቃትና ተሞክሮ ያደነቁ ሲሆን፣ በቀጣይነት ከዕዙና ከድርጅቱ የሚሰጡ ማናቸውንም አይነት ወታደራዊና ስትራቴጂካዊ ግዳጆች በላቀ ድል ለመወጣት ዝግጁ እንዲሆኑ ጥብቅ መልዕክት አስተላልፏል። ​በዚህም ኮሎኔል ሞገስ ዘገዬ ንግግር ያደረጉ ሲሆን የአብይ አህመድ አስተዳደር ሥርዓት በጦር ሜዳ ሙሉ በሙሉ መሸነፉንና መዳከሙን ጠቅሰዉ ሰራዊቱ የተሰለፈለትን ታሪካዊ ህዝባዊ ዓላማ በጽናት በመያዝ፣ የአማራን ህዝብ ህልውና የማስከበር ተልዕ

In late April 2023, #Ethiopia-n journalist Gobeze Sisay fled his country, fearing arrest. On May 6, 2023, he was arrested in #Djibouti and transferred back to Ethiopia under murky circumstances. His case demonstrates the risks that Ethiopian journalists face, even in exile. Gobeze remains in pre-trial detention, facing terrorism charges. Reports indicate that regime forces fighting on the Northern Gonder front, along the route from Dabat to Ajire, have been using FPV suicide drones in combat operations, and that one of the drones was reportedly captured intact. According to the report, forces operating under the Amhara Fano National Movement (@afnm_official) Gonder command’s 208th Corps, specifically Regiment 1 of the former Ayalew Birru Division, had previously announced that regime forces were heavily defeated for four consecutive days on the Sara-Midir Gemes Kebele front in Debark Woreda before retreating back toward Debark carrying their dead and wounded. The report further states that during the fighting, regime forces attempted to use two FPV drones to carry out attacks. AFNM accused the government of committing acts of terror against civilians through the drone operation. According to the report, one of the drones exploded without causing any casualties, while the second reportedly failed to detonate and was captured intact by Fano fighters without causing damage. Ayalew Birru Division of AFNM also issued a warning message to other Fano forces, stating that the government has begun employing new military tactics and urging fighters to remain vigilant.
