@TheRealWizar Every realistic looking game is only good for couple of years. Then it looks like garbage. WoW art style is timeless, doesnt age. This is why its kept for 20+ years

My time at Riot and on TFT as a Game Designer has come to an end. Just under 10 years, and to be honest I thought it was going to be longer, but sometimes things change. ------------------------------------------------- I’m so grateful for what I was able to be a small part of, and able to accomplish in the last decade. It’s been a dream career, and I have got to do so much thanks to Riot. Even trying to list it all feels insane what I managed to do in this time. And the crazy 7 years on TFT where I got to design, balance, teach, lead, and more for my job, but then also build a community, stream, cast, go to events…it’s just been amazing. Ending on stuff like the Unlock system and a couple other things…I’m heading out proud. To everyone I worked with over the years, thank you for letting me be a part of everything we accomplished. I hope I managed to teach you something or bring you joy in some way. I genuinely hope our paths cross again in the future. To everyone who supported TFT or me over the years, you have no idea what it means to me. I cherish all the moments over the years, and they’ll keep me going. I am so blessed to have been a part of your lives and thank you for letting me bring some fun into your world. ----------------------------------------------------- So…what’s next for me? I’m trying to figure that out. First off, since I was on sabbatical and am terrible at relaxing/not working, I have been making my own small indie game. I’m about 2 months into development and have already had folks playtesting some early builds. I’d say the game is like 20-30% done, but my goal is to release it as a full game. It’s been fun keeping my skills sharp in a different space, and I hope to share it with you all someday. Beyond that, I’m keeping my eyes open for other opportunities. I’ve had a few conversations here and there already during my Sabbatical. It’s a brutal industry right now, so I’m taking one day at a time and figuring out what’s next for me, whether it’s working on another studio’s game or even my own thing. And I’d love to find a space to do some content creation and be able to share my knowledge of game development. But that may take some time to figure out how to do it right. -------------------------------------------------------Again, thank you for everything these last 10 years. Ellesmere UI goated addon. Between this, EXBoss, and people figuring out how to track defensives, the whole addon situation hasn't changed since The War Within except everything is a jank workaround.

@HardwareUnboxed I'm playing on Ultimate for about 3 years with zero latency on a fibre ethernet. These services are not for wireless; you will eat about 25 GB of data per hour on 4K. Wifi simply can't handle bandwidth like that.

All this talk about personal computing dying and what not, I (Steve) decided to try GeForceNOW (Australia) Ultimate using Wireless NBN, Starlink and 5G. My review is this: It's really bad, f@&ing sucks. Thank you for your time.

@EllesmereGaming I like the addon. Just one feature request, more of a style/textures. I personally dont like the blocky dark bordery bars. Can you include default blizzard textures?Its an artstyle clash for me and its been the reason I dont use any UI suite addons. Otherwise this is magnificent

@CartridgeBros You cant expect nuance online tbh. People dont separate UI WAs vs combat WAs. To vast majority of players, WA is WA and the addon is bad. While in reality, the addon was great, especially for personal UI, but combat WA and auto solve WAs were a plague and happy to see them gone.

People celebrating the end of Weakauras is so wild to me That add-on did more for accessibility than any other in the history of the game Not to mention the insane level of personal UI customization you were able to achieve because of them Their loss will be felt by many

@allyparser If they allow WAs to read personal combat stuff, abominations like the barrage helper and the likes will arise. I rather they simplify classes, or buffs/procs than to have that. That said, I dont want 3 buttons only like jesus christ what the fuck we arent classic.

@LimitKams @doctorfroge But I think you cant remove the barrage helper type of things if you don't restrcit WAs to not read players combat data. Because Barrage Helper is solely based on that data and adds the 15 conditions needed for it.

@doctorfroge I never used the barrage helper and did just fine and sure get rid of stuff like that, no one’s mad that kind of wa is being removed it’s the other 99%. Also is a barrage helper THAT different than the rotation assist button highlighting blizzard just added?

People have to know that all the class weakauras do is filter and organize info right? Info that’s by default in an impossible to parse area (top right of the screen with 90 other ignorable icons) Where did this meme of WA playing your class come from?
