@teachwellall I’m not sure how true this is. I’m secondary SLT, 3 females and 5 males. Every school I’ve ever worked at has been the same & just to add that the females on our team are awesome & some of the strongest leaders I’ve worked with are female so I don’t know why it matters.

Gentle reminder: if a school has a suspension or exclusion rate higher than the national/area average, it's ridiculous to get self-righteous about it because: 1. Some schools deal with larger, more challenging cohorts than others, and consequences are more frequently required 2. Lot of schools still don't suspend when they probably *should*. 3. Unless you can point to a suspension/ exclusion where the law and the school policy wasn't followed, then you should probably park your moral outrage and let people leaders do their job and manage school culture. Because these are perfectly legitimate tools to create safe environments.

He’s paid £150k and pays £30000 tax for telling others to work.

Tax the rich more, they say Well did you know that a £150,000 earner pays £53,460 in income tax alone But a £25,000 earner pays just £2,486 How is this fair? And why are we attacking those high earners and forcing them out of the country? It takes more than 20 low rate taxpayers to pay the same as one person who earns £150,000 It’s these higher earner who generate nearly all the tax revenue to fund the NHS, the police, transport & public services

The Parable of 10 Men in a Bar Suppose that every day, ten men go out for beer and the bill for all ten comes to $100. If they paid their bill the way we pay our taxes, it would go something like this: The first four men (the poorest) would pay nothing. The fifth would pay $1. The sixth would pay $3. The seventh would pay $7. The eighth would pay $12. The ninth would pay $18. The tenth man (the richest) would pay $59. So, that’s what they decided to do. The ten men drank in the bar every day and seemed quite happy with the arrangement, until one day, the owner threw them a curve. ‘Since you are all such good customers,’ he said, ‘I’m going to reduce the cost of your daily beer by $20.’ Drinks for the ten now cost just $80. The group still wanted to pay their bill the way we pay our taxes so the first four men were unaffected. They would still drink for free. But what about the other six men – the paying customers? How could they divide the $20 windfall so that everyone would get his ‘fair share?’ They realized that $20 divided by six is $3.33. But if they subtracted that from everybody’s share, then the fifth man and the sixth man would each end up being paid to drink his beer. More and more of these posts by people who have a net pay of £100k attacking the people in the companies that do the hard graft but only take home £20k. Disgusting!
