First, very sorry to hear of lost work.
Second, I'm hearing much more lately of AI agents destroying work than creating it - be extremely careful before letting one access your main device and back everything up before and regularly AND DON'T GIVE YOUR LLM ACCESS TO YOUR BACKUPS.
Third, there is some regrettable karma here as Wicked did dismiss the CoreV30 unintended wallet deletion bug as irrelevant rather than serious and now he's become a victim of unintended file deletion. I strongly hope he finds and is able to recover his lost work - it is good and valuable work that he generously provided, and a loss to all to have it gone.

It’s not the amount of nodes that say yes it’s that a yes means stop. No yes means proceed. 1 + 1 =2 regardless of how many people agree.
It’s mathematical reasoning at work. This is why Bitcoin works. No idiot human with their stupid tricks can affect the outcome.

@TeamSatoshi @orangegatewayx Simple scenario: A block gets mined. 55% of miners say its valid, 45% say its not. 55% of home nodes say its invalid, 45% say its ok. Is the block valid? Now reverse it. 45% of miners say yes/55% say no. 55% of home nodes say yes, 45% say no. In both scenarios the miners decide.

If your node doesn't mine, what exactly is it securing?
It can't produce blocks.
It can't reverse transactions.
It can't punish bad actors.
It just watches.
BTC has 15,000+ "nodes" and 3 mining pools run the show.
How is that different from trusting 3 companies?
15,000 spectators don't decentralize 3 mining pools

Before that txn is sent to a block the nodes validate the txn.
That is why the txn goes through several nodes before verifying it is valid.
Even then the blockchain is validated from block 1-current.
Miners complete the formula in a race to be rewarded the block. The nodes validate the work is done properly.

@TeamSatoshi @orangegatewayx If a minor mines, it adds its block to the blockchain. The question is will this block be part of the longest chain. It can only achieve this if other miners mine on top of it. Hence its the opinion of other miners that matters, theyre the only ones who can build on your block.

The consensus mechanism assures the system works from the first block to the current.

@TeamSatoshi @orangegatewayx When a "mining node" detects an anomaly it ignores the block and txn. It then doesnt build on top of it. The problem of thinking that if home nodes ignore a tx then network ignores it. Does it? What if 55% of home nodes ignore a tx and 45% dont ignore it. Will it get mined?

All it takes is one to show the truth & the other nodes then validate & act accordingly. Everything in Bitcoin is based on validation of the checksum & checked every block. Once deemed as null then the network reacts. Math is math & the directive is simple / valid = yes or valid = no-
