@Heston83 @Lowkey0nline "Boy I sure love blowing up craters. I do hope that there's nobody there, but I won't check even though this is high accuracy percision weapon."
is the argument you're going for?
English

@Lowkey0nline Im not condoning this at all, but look at where the bomb lands; right in another crater, which means its likely a target. The fact that they can aim these munitions with extremely high accuracy means that he was simply standing next to the target. He wasn't the target.
English

@SleepyToast8008 @hutontiber @JamesJusticeIII @vvage_labor Don't be mean, it's their first day being able to read.

a socialist revolution in the next 20 years will have to teach half of americans how to walk on two legs again.

I'm increasingly convinced this country is heading toward some sort of societal collapse.
English

@djentilom @NightCityTimes @Templarpilled @RightAnon4547 Well at least you're an independent thinker...
English

@Teamboring @NightCityTimes @Templarpilled @RightAnon4547 retarded change for the people swallowing tanker trucks full of corporate DEI waste

Villeneuve deliberately alters Herbert's characters to make them fitting for the progressive consumer.
A bad guy can't be gay. Movie Harkonnens are only ever shown with female concubines.
A woman can't be fanatically in love with her husband. Movie Chani must be a girlboss.
A group of natives can't just consider the European guy a savior. Movie Fremen must have a faction that distrusts Paul from the start, the girlboss included, or it'd be a heckin' colonialism. Can't even wait a little to show the Fremen opposition in Messiah, where the author had it for great reasons.
And you shouldn't imagine that things could be any other way in a fictional universe.

Templarpilled@Templarpilled
Denis Villeneuve committed queer erasure with Baron Harkonnen to avoid making the audiences uncomfortable. So you'll likely get to keep your money.
English

@ReactorAxeMan @SCShipyards Yeah but (and my memory is admittedly hazy, it was a while since I read it) did they have an emissary there?
English

@Teamboring @SCShipyards They were the reason Paul wins at the end of Dune. When he threatened to destroy the spice they forced the Emperor to concede and abdicate.

@NightCityTimes @Templarpilled @RightAnon4547 You don't need to explain the next two novels to me, I have read them.
True, but that's why it's a change. Humanising a character that was pretty much a shell until Messiah.
English

@Teamboring @Templarpilled @RightAnon4547 I don’t agree with that at all, Chani clearly accepted her role in destiny in the books.
She never would have sperged out and gone independent boss babe on Paul.
There is further clarity on that point in the next two novels.
English

@ReactorAxeMan @SCShipyards The spacing guild is barely in Dune until Messiah, so they weren't really ignored at all yet.
English

@SCShipyards I refuse to be scowled at by Zendaya for three hours while the Spacing Guild gets ignored again. Sorry, Denis.
English

@nohaySimetria @Variety She doesn't know her place. A modern construct
English

Denis Villeneuve says Frank Herbert’s “Dune: Messiah” is his favorite book in the sci-fi series, by far:
“It’s a very dark, beautiful book. It’s a story about Paul and Chani and them struggling with their relationship, having the burden and incredible pressure from the world around them, and Paul is trying to find a way out of this cycle of violence. There’s something about their love, through time and the way they are, their relationship evolves.”

English

@NightCityTimes @Templarpilled @RightAnon4547 I think, Chani being pissed at Paul is a great change.
The ending to the book is such a sudden full stop, and the jump to Messiah gives no chance to really see her reaction to the clearly fucked situation.
English

@Templarpilled @RightAnon4547 There was no reason for them to girlboss Chani. Chani was already an amazing and stupendous badass in the books. I hate that they perverted her story.
That said, I quite liked how they portray Princess Jessica.
English

@TheRazzkazz @KingTychoiii @mattyglesias Paul, no you must be mistaken. That mysterious preacher can't be Paul! He said so!
English

@KingTychoiii @mattyglesias Children of Dune completes Paul's story arc. They wouldn't cast Leto II or Ghanima if they weren't going to include parts of Children of Dune.
English

I will back whichever 2028 candidate vows to put a stop to this "epic conclusion" nonsense and force them to film God-Emperor of Dune.

@Mun_kies @Superskolfan Your claim that this was inevitable no matter who was in charge seems spurious when the person in charge launches an unprovoked attack.
English

@Teamboring @Superskolfan literally Israel attacked their oil facilities not the US they then reponded with "well if we cant have oil no one else can"
English

So glad you fucking idiots voted this guy in to lower prices and not start any wars! 🤦♂️🙄
FactPost@factpostnews
Gas prices have spiked 27%, rising to $3.72 per gallon. This is the largest increase in 30 years.
English

@Mun_kies @Superskolfan Iran was attacked first. You can't really claim they'd have always done an action when you're provoking them into doing it.
English

@Superskolfan the Iran war was going to happen regardless of who was president do you really think Iran wouldnt have done this to the straight eventually while theyre at war with Israel?
English

@jules4u11 @trouble_man90 Americans cheering on the loss of their global soft power.

This is going to backfire on them bigly. Enjoy the show!

@PookiePiece Wait but hes not going to be a skeleton isnt that like his whole deal? I never watched one piece had some good opening songs though more of a Bleach guy myself

@PaintballTD @WW_Direct @voguemagazine This is incredible. The chuds are annoyed at it for being too woke. Woke people are annoyed at it because *waves at JK Rowling's post history* nobody wants it.
English

@Teamboring @WW_Direct @voguemagazine There are countless examples of it, I'll give just one obvious one, Snapes race being swapped from White to Black so this 1st season has the opportunity to portray Harry's dad as a white schoolboy bully picking on Snape because he's an innocent black kid.
English

John Lithgow hopes to “make it to the wrap party” of the HARRY POTTER TV series
He revealed to @voguemagazine that it’s a bit daunting filming the HBO series
“There’s the makeup, hair, 20-pound costumes, high-heeled shoes, and long, long hours.”

English

@jh336405 @CynicalPublius @Ron4California Yup that's the way to make people your friends. Bomb them. Historically never failed in the middle east. Works every time!
English

@CynicalPublius @Ron4California Whatever shows up next damn sure isn’t gonna want any of that after getting bombed to smithereens.
English

I'm getting tired of explaining this, but I'll do it again because there is so much stupidity out there.
Here is the Seven Step Plan:
1. Decapitate Iran's leadership and destroy its military.
2. A new regime comes to power that will no longer fund Hamas/Hezbollah.
3. Without Iranian arms and cash, Palestinians have no choice but to make a lasting peace with Israel.
4. With the Palestinian conflict ended, the Gulf Arab countries will have the political breathing room to fully engage with Israel as a regional partner.
5. Peace in the Middle East, at long last.
6. Trump once again gets rebuffed for the Nobel Peace Prize in favor of a transgender Coptic nun in Madagascar who rescued a species of hermit crabs.
7. Profit.
English

@PaintballTD @WW_Direct @voguemagazine I'm just confused because I have no idea what's woke about it.
English

@Teamboring @WW_Direct @voguemagazine The upcoming Harry Potter series. What do you think I'm talking about? Is my negative criticism hurting your feelings? Awk
English

@totalimmunity @Alonso_GD I guess that's why chemical and biological weapons are constantly used, because they are incredibly efficient.
English

@Teamboring @Alonso_GD You must be new here to Earth. The rules are never obeyed except by countries not powerful enough to disobey them. The rule do not restrain ANYONE. EVER. The only time the rules and punishments get observed is when the losers get caught and tried.
English

No the war crime is violating Art. 18 of the Second Geneva Convention:
“After each engagement, Parties to the conflict shall, without delay, take all possible measures to search for and collect the shipwrecked, wounded and sick, to protect them [and] ensure their adequate care”
