@MarioNawfal @elonmusk Guess what started in the 80s, tax cuts for millionaires, deregulation, gutting pensions, etc. When the middle class does better everyone will do better.

THE $37 TRILLION TIME BOMB Take a look at U.S. national debt from 1900 to 2020. Flat for nearly a century…then boom - exponential since the '80s. Now it's over $37 trillion!! At some point, the curve has to flatten. If not by choice, then by crisis. Because all debt gets paid - either through inflation, taxes, or broken promises. Time for D.C. to stop spending like there’s no tomorrow...because tomorrow’s looking expensive.

@EWErickson So giving the top echelon a tax cut is a per of the “reset”?

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent is right. The Biden administration created an economy that is dominated by the top 10% while the bottom 50% are increasingly worse off. A reset needs to happen before Republicans shoulder the blame in the midterms.

Trump gets it. Donald Trump: “If you graduate from a U.S. college—two-year, four-year, or doctoral—you should automatically get a green card to stay. Too often, talented grads are forced to leave and start billion-dollar companies in India or China instead of here. That success and those jobs should be in America."

@johnastoehr Great post!! I don’t need “journalists” to interpret the candidate for me. They’ve been given a test since 2015 and they’ve failed miserably.

@GuyDealership My biggest issue is distance. When I have a 5-6 hour trip, I don’t stop. I don’t want to stop to charge my car. When they have an affordable good looking EV that will go the distance I will seriously consider it.

Responses are hilarious: "🤡 if it's so expensive, don't eat out dummy" That's not the point of post, Matlock. If I say "house prices are in a bubble" Is your response "🤡if it's so expensive, just don't live in a house dummy" A normal response is either agreeing or disagreeing with the premise of "are restaurants in a bubble or will we all just get used to these prices and they'll all survive?"

We're in a restaurant bubble To now the point where going out to eat doesn't even make sense anymore. Just last week... PANERA: Family of 6 (4 young kids) - 6 entrees & 6 drinks was $73. LOCAL GRILL: 6 entrees, 2 waters & 4 kid drinks - $78 (they also charged me a surprise 3% fee for using a CC) Effing iHOP: 2 bfast sandwiches, 4 plates of kids pancakes, 4 chocolate milks - $60 lol (doesn't a pancake cost $0.10 to make) Even Chick Fil A is $55+ for each trip. We used to eat out 5-10x per week... now it's just not worth it. As credit card bills mount in America, I expect many restaurants at these prices will get desserted (pun intended) Already happening in small biz retail starting last year. Restaurants next.

TODAY: Egg producers LIABLE for price fixing scheme, per new verdict by federal jury. The 2 top egg producers, Cal Maine and Rose Acre, and 2 top industry groups, were raising and fixing egg prices. Case now moves to a damages phase. YES, inflation was partly price gouging.
