@_GlobeObserver Iran must have too much money to build a highly secretive, underground enrichment facility and enriched 400+ kg of uranium to 60% with ZERO intention to build bombs. Yep...they are for "peaceful purposes only". 🤡

@AusPoll6 Not quite there yet. Redo the polls after Labor had fooked up the oil crisis. If everyone are still voting for Labor and it wins after all that, then I would have lost faith with this country.

Three Charged with Conspiring to Unlawfully Divert Cutting Edge U.S. Artificial Intelligence Technology to China “The indictment unsealed today details alleged efforts to evade U.S. export laws through false documents, staged dummy servers to mislead inspectors, and convoluted transshipment schemes, in order to obfuscate the true destination of restricted AI technology—China,” said John A. Absolutely spot on. This stupid far-left government is cherry-picking data to present a narrative. In reality, it's both a supply and a demand issue, but they are not both equal. Housing is certainly a demand issue. We are already building a lot from a per capita perspective vs other countries.

In very early February 2020, I spoke with several well informed friends, one with contacts in China and another with a source inside the WHO. It was made extremely clear to me that everything was about to turn into a s*** show. I'm getting the same vibe now, I hope I'm wrong.

The unions and the governments have made it impossible to operate refineries in Australia at scale profitably. But that's only part of the problem. Australia is not in a good geological position to refine heavy crude from the Middle East. Too far away. Cheaper to do it in Singapore. The better solution was to increase storage massively. Much cheaper to implement and maintain.

@ChrisEconomist Where is the "OH WE ARE FOOKED" scenarios? 🤣 Oil prices stay above $120 to $150 for a long time. Months and years to recover. High interest rate with stagflation. House prices down 40%?

Treasury has modelled 2 scenarios - I call them OH DEAR and OH NO! OH DEAR is already underway (oil at $100 a barrel). It immediately pushes inflation to 4.5% and weakens the economy OH NO! is worse, with oil at $120 for some time. It sees inflation at 5% and a larger and lingering hit to the economy abc.net.au/listen/program…

@shagbargh @sentdefender Who is threatening to use nukes on Iran? Why can't Iran act like the Gulf states and focus on regional stability and diplomacy instead of arming/training proxies and repeatedly asked for the destruction of the Israel state?

Read history. Why have the Gulf States attacked Israel before but have, to some degree, stopped the "must destroy Israel at all cost" call? (not saying their relationships have normalised) Whereas, the Shia dominated Iran remains ideologically committed to the removal of the Israeli state. Of course, it does not stop some Shia Muslims calling out these Sunni Muslims for betraying Islam and not joining them to destroy Israel.

Which comes back to Israel. Having a neighbour (ok, a little further away) that has an ideological hatred against you and has repeatedly called for your destruction should not mean you should just tolerate it. Doesn't matter who started this whole "hatred" thing because the history on the conflict is so long (millennium+ ago!) that it is impossible to argue "who" was responsible for it first. But then, the gulf states have attacked Israel in the past (again, for religious and ideological reasons). Now they have significantly moderate relationship with them. And now you have Shai Muslims blaming the Sunnis as traitors for not joining them in their holy war again Israel. Religion is a mess.

@Temjinck @sentdefender Proxies are substitute for nukes. Nukes would have more value to the regime as a tool for retrenchment, because deterrence offers more bang for the buck (as long as the bang doesn't actually happen).
