It is impossible as a #carer to provide the 24/7 high level care for someone with #dementia whilst at the same time trying to manage online banking. Almost 10minutes waiting for @santanderukhelp to answer the phone

@da_masse @fesshole Become a volunteer boarder for @guidedogs - it is hard to give them back, but it’s humbling and a brilliant way to learn from experts.

@fesshole Same here. My lifestyle now wouldn't be suitable for having a dog. I couldn't leave it to be home alone for hours on end. Later in my life will things change...

Our kids want a dog. My youngest is obsessed. But I refuse to get one on the grounds that our house isn't suitable and I'd only end up walking it and picking up its dirt. Truth is, I care too much for dogs and couldn't handle them dying. I've never gotten over my childhood pets.
