Based on strong positive feedback from customers in our beta test program, @SpaceXAI will make Grok 4.5 available to the public tomorrow. It is an Opus-class model, but faster, more token-efficient and lower cost.

BREAKING: JPMorgan says a Tesla–SpaceX merger could make strategic sense. • Elon Musk could unify leadership across both companies • AI, robotics, energy, transportation & space under one company • Vertical integration could unlock major synergies • Terafab could strengthen manufacturing & AI infrastructure • Combined SpaceX-side total addressable market: $28.5T JPMorgan says the biggest hurdles would be regulatory approvals and corporate governance, making any merger highly complex.

@Timboo Terafab is one of those rare ideas that's attracting attention from both stock investors and crypto communities. We are even running a tribute token around the vision months ago. Excited to see the story gaining traction.

Nobody’s pricing in the compute stack. Vertical integration from cooling to substations to turbines to Terafab means SpaceX controls cost and speed/watt end to end. No external bottlenecks. No margin stacking from suppliers. Same playbook that took launch costs down 10x. Now pointed at AI infrastructure. Underappreciated is an understatement. $SPCX
Sawyer Merritt@SawyerMerritt

Adam Jonas: "We believe @SpaceX's cost and speed in terrestrial compute is one of the most underappreciated aspects of the company. We also believe SpaceX is on a path to vertically integrate the bulk of value-added parts in a datacenter to sustain industry leading cost and speed/watt. Dissecting 2025 Al capex, if we assume chip costs of $22/watt or roughly in line with industry Blackwell average according to our semis and internet team, cost per watt of infrastructure capex would equate to about $4 or less than half the estimated industry average of ~$9/watt. While this may be partly due to the use of brownfield facilities, we believe vertical integration and overall limited external reliance play a significant role. Today, the company's vertical integration spans liquid cooling systems, battery installations, substations, and more, with public intentions to vertically integrate further across single crystal-cast turbines, solar manufacturing, networking, and eventually the compute itself with Terafab to eliminate potential bottlenecks to Al compute scale."

BREAKING: Starlink Direct to Cell now reaches over 1 million people in Chile 🇨🇱 • Over 1 million Chileans can now access Entel + Starlink Direct to Cell in areas with no traditional mobile coverage. • Coverage now spans nearly the entire country, from the Atacama Desert to the Magallanes region. • Works with compatible LTE smartphones and automatically connects to Starlink satellites when users leave terrestrial network coverage. • No special satellite phone or additional hardware is required. • Chile became the first country in Latin America to commercially launch Starlink Direct to Cell. • Entel and SpaceX first announced their Direct to Cell partnership in 2023, making this the latest major expansion milestone. • The service is helping connect remote communities, travelers, rural workers, mining operations, and emergency responders where cellular towers don’t reach. Starlink is proving that even the most remote places don’t have to stay disconnected.

Is Tesla about to enter the most important chapter in its history? @TeslaLarry discussed why the next 12–18 months could define what's next for Tesla! We covered: • Cybercab & Robotaxi • Optimus • Tesla Semi • AI5, Cortex 2 & Terafab • Tesla Energy • FSD growth • Why Tesla may be evolving into much more than a car company If Tesla executes on these milestones, the next chapter could be even bigger than the first. 🚀 $TSLA

@jukan05 @beffjezos True, it's meant for internal use. But "internal" doesn't mean the impact stays internal. If it enables Tesla, SpaceX and Optimus to scale far beyond what's possible today, the effects will reach millions of people through those products, powered by TERAFAB chips..

You can’t manufacture meme culture. You earn it. SHIBA, DOGE, PEPE, FLOKI, WOJAK… they all started with early believers who kept the culture alive before the crowd showed up. Terafab is still early, building.

The Tesla Signal@TheTeslaSignal·
Terafab sounded like a moonshot until this hire. Tesla just hired Gary Jiang, a 17 year Intel veteran, as a director. This is not a random semiconductor resume. Tom’s Hardware says Jiang was responsible for equipment install and moving Intel’s 18A process from the Oregon development fab into Fab 52 in Arizona. That is exactly the kind of pain Terafab has to survive. Not chip design. Fab execution. Tools. Ramps. Yield. Process transfer. The caveat matters too. Tesla is not supposed to own the full volume fab first. Musk has said Tesla handles the research fab at Giga Texas, while SpaceX handles high volume manufacturing later. So this looks like the first serious operator hire for the pilot stage. That is why I like this story. Terafab is still early. But this is the kind of hire you make when the project moves from slide deck to shop floor.

$INTC Earnings is upon us again this month. I will be doing a Q2 Earnings preview as I did with Q1. But, a reminder from a post of mine a few months ago to contextually understand why the current valuation does not tell the whole story for Intel. Be forward looking. Intel's Balance Sheet and Earnings will flip on a dime, thanks to Intel Foundry. And Wall Street won't be ready. The re-pricing is not complete for the near future roadmap (this year alone) where Intel's FCF and P/E will turn on its own axis. Intel’s advanced packaging business is quietly turning into a multi-billion rocket ship. EMIB-T yields are already ~90%, $TSM’s CoWoS is sold out through 2027, and Intel’s CFO, David Zinsner, in Q1, upgraded guidance to “billions per year” in external packaging revenue once the first lines ramp. With hyperscalers desperate for US-based capacity, all confirmed signed deals with $GOOGL Google, $TSLA Tesla Terafab, and $AAPL Apple (with what I believe is also an $AMZN Trainium deal / $NVDA Nvidia Feynman GPU upcoming) will deliver exactly that, and fast. Think about the roadmap like this: -> 1 deal (Google TPUs, Apple base series chips, or Terafab packaging) can amount to $1–3B annual run-rate by end of this year. That alone matches the floor that Zinsner set forth and shows up in H2 2026 earnings as the first line comes online. -> 2 deals (Google plus Amazon Trainium or Tesla Terafab kickoff) = $5B+ run-rate in 2027–2028. Capacity expansions in the U.S., Vietnam, and Malaysia make this very doable, especially since EMIB-T shines on the huge multi-die AI chips everyone wants. -> 3 or more deals (add Apple silicon plus $META / $NVDA) = $10–20B+ annual packaging revenue by 2028–2030. Tesla’s terawatt-scale Terafab ambition alone could push the upside much higher. Wafer wins usually follow packaging wins, so this becomes the on-ramp to full Foundry scale. Intel doesn’t need every deal to win big. Even partial execution here is a game-changer while TSM is capacity-constrained. That is just Foundry. What about their core business? Re: CPUs, margins are increasing as the pricing power that Intel has is well known at this point by anyone who has followed Intel. Intel OWNS the CPU market, ICYMI. $AMD might be growing and the narrative might be overtly in favor of AMD, but don’t forget the power Intel owns in Consumer and Enterprise. GET READY FOR ANOTHER GENERATIONAL EARNINGS PRINT. THE GUIDANCE IS COMING. Laugh now, cry later. Long. Live. Intel.

TERAFAB: With the purchase of the three-acre parcel containing a pump station on the Navasota River (3) and a one-acre parcel that includes a section of the river (2), SpaceX has secured direct access to water intake capabilities for supporting the Terafab facility. Earlier state records also show that water rights associated with the Terafab site had been expanded years prior. The large parcel purchased on the west side of Gibbons Creek Reservoir (1) comes with existing water rights and intake infrastructure tied to the reservoir. These water rights, which were largely intact from the prior TMPA framework, transfer with the property to SpaceX. The reservoir’s pre-existing intake, discharge permitting, and water rights framework provide the Terafab project with immediate access, significantly reducing the time and regulatory steps needed to secure water resources for large-scale semiconductor manufacturing. More Elon Musk companies news in the EC below!
