@TeriWithAnE I have applied to go to America. I got my call in October 2025, but then November 2025 shutdown happened and I was forgotten about.

I've begun following several accounts of South African refugees who are coming to America. They are such awesome honest, hardworking people who have a deep appreciation for America. It is refreshing to have them here.
Alice VL@RiseAgainstEvil

Dear @POTUS, Members of Your Administration, and the American People, My heart is still pounding a mile a minute as I write this through tears of gratitude that keep escaping. Yesterday, after eight long, soul-crushing years of separation, heartbreak, and sleepless nights, I stood at a US airport gate and finally wrapped my arms around my son. He stepped off that plane from South Africa, and in that single moment, every prayer I whispered in the dark, every tear I choked back, every fear that I might never see him again; it all shattered into pure, overwhelming joy. I cannot put into words what it felt like to see his plane come in. Eight years. Eight years of birthdays missed, of phone calls cut short by bad connections and broken hearts, of wondering if the next update would be the one that crushed me forever. The distance was a knife that never stopped twisting. But yesterday, America, YOUR America, brought my boy home. President Trump, to you and your Administration I owe a debt I can never repay. Thank you for believing that families belong together. Thank you for fighting to keep the refugee program alive as a true lifeline for those who have nowhere else to turn. Thank you for refusing to let bureaucracy and politics stand between a parent and a child who had waited far too long. Your leadership turned a hopeless nightmare into the most beautiful reunion of my life. And to the American people; every single one of you who voted, who prayed, who stood firm, I thank you from the bottom of my soul. You didn’t just bring my son home; you reminded me that this nation still believes in second chances, in mercy, and in the unbreakable power of family. Your compassion gave us back our future. Now hear me clearly. We are not here to take. We are here to stand. A part of my family came home to the greatest country on earth, and we will fight side by side with you against every force, foreign or domestic, that seeks to destroy her. We will fight for her borders, her values, her freedom, and her future. We will fight for the American Dream that just saved our family. We will never forget what you did for us, and we will spend every day proving that we are worthy of the grace you showed us. America, you didn’t just reunite one family, you reignited a fire in our hearts that will burn for this country until our last breath. With eternal gratitude, unbreakable loyalty, and tears of joy still finding its way down my cheeks, Us, the Amerikaners ❤️🇺🇸🙏✝️

My son is still the same.  That boy with the infectious laugh that could light up the darkest room, the one whose humor never runs dry, and whose love pours out so freely it wraps around you like a warm blanket. He’s still my boy.  But he’s different. Older. A little beaten. Carrying a weight on his shoulders that wasn’t there before. He told me stories, carefully edited, I know, trying to spare this mama’s heart. He arrived home defeated, heavy, like the country he left behind had pressed down on him for too long.  I see him jump when something falls.  I see him bolt to his feet at the slam of a door.  In the quiet of the night, I catch him checking our doors and windows, again and again.  When we run errands, he walks protectively close, scanning everything.  He’s on high alert at the sound of our neighbors’ voices.  He rushes down the stairs the second Amazon knocks.  Every little thing breaks my heart into pieces.  I know he’ll be okay now. He’s safe. He can breathe. He's strong. But so many others back in South Africa are still living in that fear every single day.  I left eight years ago, and I didn’t think it could get worse. It has. So much worse. The stories I hear now, the reality my son lived, it murders something inside.  He is a man who was born to love; deeply, joyfully, openly. And instead, he was met with hate. Violence. A country that stole pieces of his identity.  My heart aches for the boy he once was, and the man he’s had to become. I hold him every chance I get, and I’m praying for every mother still there, praying her children come home safe too. For every family in the program, and every South African staying behind to fight another day. South Africa, what have you done to our sons and daughters? 💔

@viking_boer If you make it to northern Michigan, you must have a pasty. It must be from the Upper Peninsula to be authentic.

@RiseAgainstEvil Josh and Jase are two Brits who have been traveling around the USA experiencing what states have to offer. Amerikaners might find their videos interesting to watch to get a glimpse of this country through the eyes of non-natives? x.com/joshandjase

First up, pumped his own gas for the first time. He stood there holding the nozzle like it was a live snake, smiling awkwardly at the camera like he just defused a bomb. The pump started yelling numbers at him in freedom units, and he nearly had a panic attack wondering if he was supposed to tip the machine. Then he went full American and ordered biscuits and gravy. He thought it was gonna be some sweet tea scones with jam and cream. NOPE. Came out looking like a heart attack wearing a delicious White blanket on steroids, with a side of what he could only describe as shredded potato crime scene. He took one bite and his soul left his body, did a little lap around the diner, and came back begging for more. 10/10. Would commit to this lifestyle immediately. South African man quickly becoming 87% American, and 13% cholesterol.

@RiseAgainstEvil 😂America is unique. Each different part will be a surprise for him, and all other SA's. No two regions are the same culturally or in food styles.

3 of our hens went broody and strangely chose to cram into 1 nesting box. Not sure which hens the chicks belong to but I'm enjoying the new life. We moved them to larger quarters.

There's a BIG difference between illegals who hate us/our way of life and come to take and destroy and legal immigrants who appreciate and respect us. The legal immigrants are welcomed, the illegal invaders are not.

@Michael77667302 @StandCan8097 Generally illegals hate us and our way of life and come to take and destroy. I think people who come here legally, especially those escaping tyranny, tend to appreciate the USA. But the hate is louder than the love so the love/respect expressed by SAs is refreshing.

@TeriWithAnE We, as South Africans, won't let you down. We love and appreciate the USA. We're a proud bunch and prefer to give rather than take. We wish our fellow SA's in the US the very best to prosper. We'll carry on the fight this side even if we're the last to switch off the lights.

Trump has doubled the number of South Africans who can come into the USA. I'm glad. Unlike the illegals, they are awesome people who appreciate America.
Popped Culture - A Safugee in the USA 🇺🇸@popped_blog

🚨 Refugee Programme Update 🚨 I am now getting texts, calls and Whatsapps daily from Safugees landing safely on US soil. Their gratitude to America can't even be communicated in a single post. I cry happy tears on the daily now, because I've been working with and chatting to so many of them for months, so to know that they are finally safe is just, ja, I don't have the words. My own journey started just over a year ago when President Trump announced that America would be extending a lifeline to South African minorities fleeing race-based persecution and legal racial discrimination by the criminal South African government. I have never been a particularly political person, but when I started speaking out on X and had so many people reaching out to me to share their stories, to ask questions about the programme, to get advice and direction, I knew this was a mantel God had placed at my feet and I had a duty to pick it up and carry it. But guys, it's been so worth it, every single frenetic moment. Having to navigate libtards, black racists and other pond scum has been such a small price to pay to see so many families saved by this incredible gift of kindness from the American people. I will quite literally spend the rest of my life trying to, in some way, repay the USA for what they are doing for us, but I know that whatever I do it will NEVER be enough. Thank you from the bottom of my soul, we won't let you down. God bless America and God bless the American people, we owe you our lives 🙏✝️🤍🇺🇸
