@StrongBadian @TerranWilliams4 @RawTheology I've LOVED my brief interactions with Terran on email!! I just need to comb through his book, first :)

My plea to @TGC: keep the main thing the main thing. Do what you can to equip and strengthen local churches. Let the gender of leaders and preachers be an open-handed issue.
English

Here is the great irony — @TGC essentially deploys a few women to strengthen its influence in undermining the contribution of tens of thousands of other women in local churches everywhere.
English

@TGC The Gospel Coalition, with its enormous influence on the worldwide church (6 million readers), has made some progress in bringing women to the table. A few women help lead it now and preach at its conferences @jenniferwilkin @RebeccMcLaugh @courtneydoctor @melissabkruger

Slaves, Women and Southern Baptists. After the Holy Post podcast covered part 1, here's part 2. It tells how tribal loyalty blocks the pursuit of truth and blanks the lessons of history. @bethallisonbarr @NijayKGupta

@MikeWingerii Parenting. Using your gifts to serve church and society. Bringing in income. These are human roles, not men's or women's roles. Julie and I have 5 kids and we team together to do those three things. None of this compromises our society, our family, our church, or my manliness.
English

@MikeWingerii @RickWarren I've informed Rick Warren about Andrew Bartlett and my engagement with your exegesis @ terranwilliams.com/articles/ That's a free online resource worth checking out?
English

@RickWarren Please publish your exegesis (online for free?) or just refer to an egalitarian book you agree with. You’re seeking to influence many people on the grounds that your exegesis changed your mind but you don’t share it in any detail (as far as I can find). Instead you use rhetoric.
English

@MikeWingerii I doubt any of them made the same effort as Andrew Bartlett and I did to 1) not misrepresent you 2) listen to you very carefully 3) respond to your clear invitations to provide this critique and 4) give the critique in the respectable manner we have given it.
English

Why don’t you respond to so-and-so Mike?
Today alone I’ve got three different critics making video content on me. One calls me a servant of Satan, one is… odd, and one treats me as a brother but just dropped 15 hours of content on a series I did four years ago. All today.
Everyone is more than welcome to make all the content they want, including putting devil ears on my head for their thumbnail (classy!) but it’s just not sustainable to actually respond to most things.
I actually wish I could go through, consider, and respond to all of these sort of things. Either to show where they are incorrect, or to say “yep, you’re right, I was wrong.” But reality doesn’t work that way, and wisdom doesn’t allow me to be constantly distracted from my focus.
Some will still be sending me messages about how I’m irresponsible, cowardly, or that I know I am wrong and won’t admit it (on whatever particular issue they happen to be focused on) and I suppose those accusations do bother me to some degree. Oh well. My hope is that people who are really paying attention will be equipped to sort through this stuff on their own. If I’ve done a good job as a teacher then I’ve likely prepared them for alternate views.
My one tip, make sure to listen to me in context and not just to take someone else’s synopsis as accurate. That tends to be important.

@laurambarringer @bethallisonbarr And if a man gets lost and asks a woman for directions, she may give him directions but only a way that doesn't betray her mature femininity or cross his mature masculinity, says Piper.

This whole paragraph about John Piper by @bethallisonbarr is jaw-dropping. What in the actual…???
