Atlanta really sitting on a potential Cavs-Wolves 2.0 scenario if things line up… Back in 2014 the Cleveland Cavaliers had the #1 pick (Andrew Wiggins) and flipped him with a former #1 pick (Anthony Bennett) to the Minnesota Timberwolves for a proven superstar (Kevin Love) once LeBron James came back to contend. Wolves could get Peterson OR Johnson + hella picks. If Dys goes that’s a big hit but otherwise it’s hardly “gutting” the team

Ant would have to force his way out, which goes against his character. Post game yesterday, he talked about how much he loves Minnesota. I have no doubt Ant will one day want to rep a Hawks J, but that day is very far away.
Secondly, yall would need Gianni’s to be traded to pump up the value of that 2027 pick from the bucks. Then you need to win the lottery this year.
If all that happens, then maybe Darryn Peterson, Bucks 2027 pick, 3+ more picks, Risacher, Daniels and other filler could maybe be an acceptable package if that gauntlet of events were to happen.
That said, Ant isn’t asking out this summer. Maybe if the Wolves botched their next pivot off of Rudy and Randle, I could see frustration mounting, but that still is something that’s 3-4 years away before it’s a palatable idea.
