And we donโt know what CJ wants. Cleary the team agrees that he hasnโt played good enough to warrant extension talks at the moment.

The Texans have exercised the 2027 fifth-year options on the contracts of QB CJ Stroud and All Pro DE Will Anderson, per source. Stroud is now due $25.904M in 2027, while Anderson is due $21.512M. Both players are also extension eligible.

If he had put enough body of work together already, they would be eager to get the extension done, which they clearly arenโt.

Good to hear.
The ultimate way to show support for him would be an extension. Itโll be interesting to monitorโIโve been working on a deep analysis of whether the Texans should and/or will do one, and what it could look like.

Azeez Al-Shaair is in the final year of his contract and will turn 29 in August.
With Houston having a bunch of big contracts coming up, it would make sense to move him.
He's an awesome player. Would love this for Dallas.

Overcrowding the WR room is only going to stunt the growth of the young guys. Let Higgins work as the #2. Jaylin Noel will not be WR 5 this year with the slot open. Let Tank work back from his injury slowly. You can do much worse than Hutch and Watson as 5 & 6. This group is good

I love the Texans building around the running game, especially with this defense, but now the question becomes, do you pay $55m to a QB on a defensive minded, run oriented team?

Love this move as it now gives you stability across the line, even more than that you are no longer predictable going into the draft. They should absolutely still draft a couple of lineman, but you donโt have to force it at a specific pick if the value isnโt right. #HTownMade
