@DanHaymore @OShitMedia @Steely_Kafka @ggreenwald You are spewing made-up nonsense. The Iranian regime is bad, but so is the CCP, North Korean government, and Putin's regime. I don't support invading any of those countries. Who made us arbiters of what type of governments other nations can have?

Notice that there's nothing in US war demands about regime change, freedom and democracy for Iranians, or even loosening up repression of protesters or anyone else. That's becasue the US doesn't give a shit about any of that. They're just pretexts to sell US wars as noble.
Kellie Meyer@KellieMeyerNews

NEW I’m told these are the US red lines for Iran: A U.S. official tells me: - End all uranium enrichment - Dismantle all major nuclear enrichment facilities - Retrieve highly enriched uranium - Accept a broader peace, security and de-escalation framework that includes regional allies - End funding for terrorist proxies Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Houthis - Fully open the Strait of Hormuz, charging no tolls for passage

Nothing? I was a Marine in 1983 and my friends getting blown to pieces in Beirut isn't "nothing". Funding Hamas, Hezbollah, Houthis, building IEDs to kill American's in Iraq and Afghanistan is not "nothing". Iran has killed over75,000 INNOCENTS through TERRORISM since 1979 but that's "nothing". You're so blinded by your hatred for Trump that you are completely delusional.

@TimothyPortal @jess_ann_pin This applies to high status men too. The main difference is that the woman initiating FWB needs to be really desired by a lot of other high-status men. Most women don't fall in that category so they can't easily set the terms with high status men.

@williamennin @jess_ann_pin This is only valid if you are talking about men with little to no options and no abundance of it. Guys that can barely attract a woman would behave like you just mentioned in a FWB situation. But i was not referring to those guys in my comment above.

I had a much higher opinion of men when my serious dating experience was low and casual experience was high. Casual relationships that women seek out on their own and define the terms is are the lowest risk type of relationship. The risk comes from emotional vulnerability and from men lying and being disrespectful. Casual might be less rewarding, but it carries the lowest risk of any damage, especially when the woman seeks it intentionally. That does not mean it’s the best model for society or for children. But when women seek it out, it often ends up flipping the stereotypical gender dynamic and leads to the man asking for more so it might work fine for society for women to seek casual but be open for more if the man wants that. People think it’s not in male nature to want more. But I think it really is. The only risk is if you keep them in the casual box for too long they may perceive rejection and resent you for it. For some reason one of my ex fwbs starts yelling at me and calling me names whenever I give him the opportunity for more. He always berates me for other men he thinks I like even if we are just friends. Also, before I started seeking it out, I was going months without sex and only having sex with exes who wanted to marry me, which wasn’t really fair to them. I also got addicted to porn, and I would say casual sex is more healthy than watching porn all the time.

@TimothyPortal @jess_ann_pin This is false. Men are generally territorial. Guys tend to enjoy FWB when they are setting the terms, because it means the woman is really into them and won't sleep with other men. When a woman initiates FWB, it makes men feel insecure because they don't have control.

@jess_ann_pin It’s simply not in male nature to seek for commitment if they are given consistent sexual access without the need of it. Pretty much all male secular population has no issues with the “FWB” moniker. Very few men care about “being used for sex” by women.

@Noahpinion Keeping shabbos, eating kosher, and sh'miras negiah are not incompatible with being America-loving Americans. Again, you're speaking irrationally in order to reassure antisemites that you're "one of the good ones" (i.e., a house rather than field Jew)

Assimilation should not mean giving up religious practices. What it means is that those religious practices don't separate you from Americans of other religions on a daily basis. (The worst assimilators here by far are the ultra-Orthodox Jews, btw, not Muslims)
Shadi Hamid@shadihamid

Practicing Muslims — despite being repeatedly asked to — can’t disavow “sharia” even if they wanted to. The sharia includes guidelines on how to pray, fast and otherwise observe what it means to submit to God in daily practice. washingtonpost.com/opinions/2026/…

@TexansEra @JohnCrumplerMD Just because there has not been a contract offer does not mean that it has not been discussed in private. Contract agreements are a 2-way street. The Texans need "volume stats" to be able sell a >60m/yr contract to less sophisticated members of the media and fanbase.

@williamennin @JohnCrumplerMD He was very average this year, imo. Although was better than year 2. Just hasn’t played well enough to warrant an extension. And we don’t know what CJ wants. Cleary the team agrees that he hasn’t played good enough to warrant extension talks at the moment.

Three seasons of 10+ wins, two AFC South titles, and both trending to receive mega-extensions. C.J. Stroud & Will Anderson era for the Texans couldn’t have gone much better than it has.
Field Yates@FieldYates

The Texans have exercised the 2027 fifth-year options on the contracts of QB CJ Stroud and All Pro DE Will Anderson, per source. Stroud is now due $25.904M in 2027, while Anderson is due $21.512M. Both players are also extension eligible.

@TexansEra @JohnCrumplerMD He wasn't "very average" in terms of advanced efficiency metrics like EPA and total QBR. He was better than Herbert, Baker and Darnold. Also, the team doesn't agree that he is not good enough. Caserio and DeMeco have all praised and defended him this offseason.

@TexansEra @JohnCrumplerMD How is being 12th in EPA/dropback and 11th in total QBR, on a mediocre offense with a rookie OC, trending the wrong? The reason they are not extending him yet is because CJ won't agree to a contract smaller than what TLaw and Kyler got-- in terms of cap value(>$60m/yr).

@JohnCrumplerMD While I don’t disagree that a good season will get him paid, I’d argue he’s been trending in the wrong way of a mega extension ever since year 2. If he had put enough body of work together already, they would be eager to get the extension done, which they clearly aren’t.

@wil_da_beast630 Review the evidence. Under Clinton, we got Black Hawk Down, where request for a Spectre gunship was ignored and US troops had to be rescued by Pakistanis and to run the “Mogadishu mile”. Benghazi consulate attack requests for help were also ignored under Obama.

@RJ__NFL @JLSports24 @FBGreatMoments No. Brady would have been cut in a couple of years. Brady was nowhere near ready to be a starter from day 1. Eric Mangini who was a coach with the Patriots has pointed this out many times. Life is contigent!

@LiranF @CoreyWriting No, he wouldn't. Brady would have failed miserably, and Butch Davis would have been quickly fired. You are engaging in a post-hoc fallacy. Brady wasn't ready to carry a bad team.

@Noahpinion @thorsson_john @Socdem_Michael This was true in 2010, but in reverse. Dems had a higher favorability than the GOP. The GOP went on to win 63 seats in the House. The Dem base has become a lot more similar to the GOP base in terms of its dislike of Dem leaders.

SS and Medicare are programs earned and contributed to by seniors. Many seniors don’t have access to advocates like refugees get from gov funded NGOs. Welfare by its nature increases the cost of living. When it is out of control it makes a huge impact and the vulnerable pay the highest price.

Me too, when I actually see specifically this. But, gotta ask: where does the idea that old people...or, errrrrr...white and ADOS women (!!!)...can't get welfare come from? The two biggest budget drains are Social Security and Medicare, not "Somali fraud" or "aid to Israel."

I lay out my case to @PeterBeinart that forcing Israeli Jews to dissolve their own state would be undemocratic, even if we see that as a "just" outcome. But my argument is that it wouldn't be just because it wouldn't be democratic. Full episode: wisdomofcrowds.live/p/peter-beinar…

@TexansJacob my questions on CJ: can he be a better leader: not moping on the sideline; ability to chew out a supporting cast member for missing his assignment; no “best friends” on the offense? is he smart enough to read NFL offenses?

I don’t really think it’s fair to ask or expect C.J. Stroud to “carry” the Texans offense that they had on paper over the last 2 seasons with weaker run games & OL play. From 2023-2025 Houston is 17th in EPA/DB but 31st in rushing EPA/Rush. In that span Houston hasn’t ranked higher than 19th in PFF team PBLK Grade or team RBLK Grade. Houston has now put a quality surrounding cast with Stroud heading into 2026 and should give him a chance to earn his extension.
