Agreed, the censorship stuff personally doesn't bother me, but the lack of communication does.
RoN doesn't need to be a forever live service game, but the messaging with the community needs to be more transparent regarding bug fixes and general whats what.

A youtuber clown looking for clicks does not grab me. I suffered through that video where this guy doesn't even mention de-escalation tactics, walking behind and front of the vehicle, leaving the scene with the weapon, etc. DOESNT EVEN MENTION IT. You could find a few so called geography majors who also believe the earth is flat. Im gonna stay away from YouTuber click bait videos, and holocaust deniers. Very credible stuff. I" ll stick to the overwhelming majority of current and former law enforcement who are not bigot and racist jew haters, and those looking for clickbait on youtube. That grabs me.

Mind blowing seeing people talk like this and I will never understand how it happens. I’m guessing this is the product of never having to work for anything, never having a terrible job, and never having to live pay check to pay check. Struggle and hardship is what makes you better and keeps you grounded.
Always appreciate and respect how hard people work. Understand how hard it can be to get by or pay bills. Hell 100 dollars might not be a lot to some people but it can be life changing to others.

Layoffs don’t just shrink teams, they wipe out institutional knowledge that takes decades to build.
When veteran developers leave, all the unwritten stuff disappear with them: tool quirks, shortcuts, artistic intuition, “don’t reference that file like that” warnings, and the reasoning behind old tech decicisions. Most of it isn't documented because no one has time to record years of tiny hard-earned tricks and thought processes.
The impact shows up so fast, man. New teams waste months relearningg systems, repeating old mistakes, and rebuilding processes that once ran smoothly. A lot of that expertise just vanishes. You can hire new people, but you can’t replace a decade of tech intuition or cross-department problem-solving overnight.
The result is slower production, more friction, more bugs, and projects feel less stable and take longer to start working. Studios don’t just lose staff; they lose the memory of how they make games, and rebuilding can take years.
Sometimes a studio known for a specific type of game suddenly can’t make it anymore, and now your sequels freaking suck.

@TobiasKuhn77 For live service multi-player games i can understand that, though I view RoN more like a traditional game release like Swat 3 or 4 where theres a finite amount of maps and the appeal lies in the randomness that occurs from the AI in order to complete it.

Bug fixes aside, Shouldn't there just be an end when a game is done? Like they used to be once upon a time? I dont go back to replay Swat 3 and go "man i wish they added more levels"

Jeez there so many cynics! It cracks me up when I hear people call AI underwhelming. I grew up playing Snake on a Nokia phone! The fact that people are unimpressed that we can have a fluent conversation with a super smart AI that can generate any image/video is mindblowing to me.

@BattleNonSense As someone who has always hated really good Littlebird pilots, id be ok with making the flyable areas much larger given how fast and accurate the RPG is.

They could easily serve both audiences via map variety and "infantry only" switches like they have done in the past.
You would then have very infantry focused maps with no jets/AH - maybe just transport helicopters - and then you also have Combine Arms Combat maps. :)

A small creator, EvenBadWolves Gaming (10k subs), had a video she spent 200 hours making get stolen by a much larger creator, InkSlasher (1.2M subs). EvenBadWolves is actually a lawyer here in Australia and she is taking the case to court to stand up for small creators who get ripped off by large creators. She hopes to set a legal precedent and make it easier for other creators to get compensation when their work is stolen. Her video explaining everything is here: youtube.com/watch?v=djluF6…
Her legal fund is here: gofund.me/45f72d8b7 I donated $1000 to support her cause, but sadly the situation hasn’t received much attention. Even if you can’t contribute, watching and sharing her video would help a lot.
Many large creators see other creators as an all you can eat buffet that they can take from to avoid doing work themselves or faily compensating others for it. Success on YouTube should not be determined by how efficient you are in exploiting others, and this behaviour will only become less prevelant if consequences for it become more common.
