I'm freaking out. My mom and I are about to lose our house. My mom is elderly and we are both disabled. We can pay but the mortgage company refuses to negotiate or work with us. Someone please help we will lose everything! @BernieSanders @AOC @RepDanSenaMA @RepPressley

@NeuroDicyHome @abearactually This book is definitely not ok for kids! I read it at like 15 and really struggled with the content, even to this day even though it's a comfort book there are parts I can't read.

@abearactually We haven't read these! Just checked the catalog and our local library has it, so going to pick it up when we go later.

@NeuroDicyHome Have you read any of Tamora Pierce's work? She has many wonderful series, in particular The Immortals, The Song of the Lioness, The Circle of Magic, The Circle Opens, along with some stand alone stories like Trickster's Choice/Trickster's Queen and Terrier.

@ItsEmilyKaty I've been trying to get diagnosed for a decade now with no luck, can't find anywhere that actually does testing. Drs are absolutely no help, most refuse to have anything to do with mental health issues/psychiatric care.

‘Autism could be diagnosed with stool sample tests, scientists say’. Hmm. Autism could also be diagnosed by people actually getting to see a doctor who can diagnose. Because mostly, I don’t think it’s actually that hard to diagnose. Fyi correlation does not mean causation.

@laurenancona I'm higher IQ and autistic, I love music but hardly listen to it cuz it's very overwhelming. I have to be in the right mood/headspace and I really struggle to listen to new music cuz so many lyrics are so triggering. Been listening to "old" music more lately.

@AlwayzHoodie @Dexerto To be fair I also get weird vibes from Mr Beast and he makes me way more uncomfy than Speed, if I had to hang out with one for a day I'd choose Speed honestly.

@Mlickles My ex bf was like this and it was terrifying. He was so controlling it was insane. It took me years to get away. Do not ignore red flags people! Also: never believe an abusive person telling you they will self delete, it is just manipulation to control you and make you stay.

@ComeGetYourCat @thatmaskedgirly I don't have any of those stores where I live so that doesn't really tell me anything. Where I'm at Whole Foods and Trader Joes are the big fancy stores. I'm not really sure what stores are most expensive but Joes is definitely more expensive than anything around me.

@ThamerTanner @thatmaskedgirly Trader Joe's is nowhere near Whole Foods prices. It's cheaper than Safeway, Lucky, Albertson's, etc. Thats why people are so passionate about it. The prices are low and the quality quite high.

Can Trader Joe’s explain why they hate disabled people? I literally can’t shop there due to the fact that they don’t offer curbside pickup, delivery, or instacart.

@chronicallybeee LAUNDRY it wrecks my back 😭 I've just stopped folding my underthings and throwing them in a bin because no matter how high the surface I use folding them just HURTS.

i did not realize until last night that the reason that i don’t like doing the things i don’t like doing is not because i’m lazy- it’s because it hurts to do those things. apparently those tasks don’t make “normal” people hurt, they’re just boring, annoying, or uncomfortable

@robokarla @chronicallybeee I never used to sweat until I had Covid, it totally screwed my system and I sweat profusely for 3 days. Now 2 years w/ Long Covid and I get so sweaty and overheat so easily, it's so hard to get things done now and being bed bound for a year from chronic fatigue didn't help.

@chronicallybeee chronic fatigue checking in, laundry is freaking heavy!!!!!! HURTS MY LEGS. oh and changing a fitted sheet on a bed. i will literally be sweating and need to take a break

@ComeGetYourCat @thatmaskedgirly Really? Cuz that's def a store I consider high end, they literally only exist in super rich areas. Like Whole Foods. Those are the two most expensive grocery stores I know of. They are very elitist imo.

@AnnieTehworst @hutchleah I have severe anxiety and as a teen/early 20s my BP would always spike when I got to a drs office, my drs figured out what was happening and would wait until the end of the appointment when I'm leaving and calm to take my vitals. Worked like a charm.

@hutchleah It's the worst. Going to the doctor stresses me out so much that my blood pressure goes into stroke territory. So *that's* what they focus on, not that I've been physically exhausted and my brain scrambled for four years.

@BabylontheGr8 @hutchleah I'm just trying to find someone who doesn't want to mess with my meds every month. I'm super sensitive to meds and take super low doses and I'm so tired of psychiatrists being like that's not enough and constantly upping my doses! Leave my doses alone and just give me my meds!

@hutchleah It makes me very uncomfortable that I feel I have to beg my psychiatrist for meds. I understand there's like a process and everything but it's so degrading for me personally

@AJMarraffa @IGN It's sexual assault by definition but you are right, calling it sexual violence is misleading but that's probably the point. We are probably the only ones in this comment section who read the article, they know people judge based off headlines. It's irresponsible reporting.

@IGN I don’t really understand how this counts as sexual violence when nothing sexual occured, kind of weird to me. It was still invasive and he shouldn’t have done it, but like, calling it sexual violence makes people think of worse things.

@BeccaLizz I'm glad you're talking about this cuz I know tons of people with car loans but I've never heard of this before, thank you for raising awareness and educating people. I'm so sorry this happened to you, it makes me irate on your behalf.

@BeccaLizz I was also getting out of a financially abusive situation, he put everything in my name and he was supposed to pay the bills but as I found out apparently he wasn't and even though we agreed he'd pay off the bills he never did. I just got my credit fixed and can't let this hit.
