My phone sometimes shows "memories" from photo albums. This was 2 years ago. Feels like last week. Some of the last pictures I got of her. Therapy was really tough today. I miss her terribly. Hold them tight, everyone.

Bless you!! It's definitely tough with the feedings every few hours and some taking to it better than others. Plus making sure they use the bathroom the same way a mother would and keeping them warm. It's amazing what you're already doing for them! I commend it. I also hope you're able to get some help like I see some offering. Not an easy undertaking but can be very rewarding on top of any temporary stress it might bring.

Kitten update #2 Couldn't get into the vet again yesterday. Back on the waiting list today. Got a message back from 1/5 rescues that they are full. Every kitten has now latched onto the bottle at least once and has also pooped. Every kitten has put on some weight since yesterday, although a couple have not put on as much as I would like. Everyone slept much better last night, multiple overnight feedings notwithstanding. Looks like the kittens will be roadtripping with me tomorrow. Might still have to call off the hiking trip but I'm hoping it might be easier to find someone to foster them short term for a few days.

Nasty storm right now. If I get whisked off to another dimension/plane of existence via tornado or something, pls remember that most of my last day was absolute dog shit but that I ate some ice cream & watched some Penelope Pitstop cartoons so that was pretty great.

My therapist always tries to encourage me to recognize "little glimmers" in life when they happen. I'm terrible at it (beyond my animals of course)... ...But this feels like one to me...as weird as that may seem. I'm glad they brought Gumball back. A lot of good memories of my life play in my head when I see these characters.

He's been feeling much better the last few days. Thanks for the well wishes 🐱❤️ Now back to getting him a home (but not that guy)

@BotMignon I do too. He's been extremely patient having the kittens take up so much time and energy. I know he just wants normal again.

Had another potential kitten adoption fall through. This one doesn't upset me as much as the last one (that jerk). This was an old couple who had recently lost their 16 year old cat. They had showed interest and said they'd be in touch to let me know. I reached back out and they said they ended up getting an adult cat from their local shelter. Can't me mad at that. Kittens can be (definitely are) a lot of work. And knowing a shelter cat got a forever home is still heartwarming. Someone will eventually take these in but they're in a comfortable position until then. However I might have to expand my range of travel to potentially get the others adopted into loving homes.

@bigbirdsflying I thought about that. Their last cat made it to 16. Perhaps they were thinking about that at their age which I totally understand. I hope you and your pupper are both doing great 6 years together!

@ThatBrianFella When you get older you calculate your age against the pet’s. You worry about the pet outliving you and not being cared for. They wanted a kitten but realised it would be unkind. II got a puppy 6 years ago and made a judgement that I would outlive him😊

@rjames1928 @No7gat They appear to be. The pupil looks normal size. Just red-eyed now. But I'm sure that will clear up soon enough as well.

Googling why my pupils are 2 different sizes. The results are always so wild in their range of severity. From - "Could just be something with your contacts" To - "Aneurism and/or brain tumor" Fortunately I currently don't have a headache or anything like that so I'm gonna go with the former...but still how crazy is that

@FemCondition I'm due soon for a checkup so I'll definitely bring it up.

@ThatBrianFella It's *probably* nothing and the contacts being a bit off center. But it's always worth a checkup if it's persistent. Those tiny muscles can signify a lot, even an increase of pressure due to a slightly blocked artery. Early detection is great.

@No7gat @rjames1928 No bumps. But could be meds. Been on some new ones somewhat recently

@ThatBrianFella @rjames1928 It can be side effect of meds or Alkohol. It can be harmless. Have you bumped your head resently?

@rjames1928 But I like a good pun. I've taken my contacts out and switched to glasses now so I bet it clears up soon enough.
