Is it normal for 6 year olds to have cliques and lowkey act like mean girls? Cuz I feel like it’s not, but maybe I live in a little bubble with my extremely inclusive children and don’t know what I’m talking about, so it’s just shocking to me when I see it.

@brittilina My grandma would start throwing in random names when she couldn't get it right (she had seven kids). With our first, my husband would call the baby by one of the cat's names (they were often in trouble).

For those of you with more than one kid: are names as hard for everyone else? With my second, I couldn’t REMEMBER her name for like 3 months. With my third, I just called her by my second’s name. Now with our fourth, I can’t remember what we named her AND I keep calling her by our third’s name. And I just heard my husband go to pick up the baby and call her by our third’s name also. How abnormal IS this?

@the_coral_lea At five months pregnant I was diagnosed with cervical cancer. The obgyn told me he had to perform an “immediate medical termination!” I told him my womb is occupied! He grabbed my arm and told me I was selfish. I found a Catholic doctor who had a better idea. My son is 40❤️❤️❤️

A girl gets sexually assaulted at a Winnipeg School. Instead of protecting her, school officials gaslighted her & her family, telling them if she felt uncomfortable being in gym class w/ the boy who assulted her, she could leave. Great reporting by @jeffkhamilton. winnipegfreepress.com/breakingnews/2…

I have never understand how people act like laundry is a life ending hard task. I do one load a day usually. Every other day if I don’t have enough to start a load. Actually the easiest thing to do with kiddos cuz you can just fold it while they play. Set a time and remember to flip it. I don’t even use a laundry basket. I just fold the clothes on top of the washer so I can’t start another load till I put everything way. Women stop victimizing yourselves about everything.
Mlungisi@Mlu__N2

People underestimate how hard this is.

@iWomansplainer Basically my brother and I. I'm half a year older than him, but my mom had to get up to deal with me at night a lot more often than she did him. Life long insomniac, weee

@ThatFoxChick1 @kenzietuff Sure fine. It's so odd to me that people post a moment of their lives and everyone on the internet thinks it's indicative of every other moment of their lives.

Every woman is more than happy to say how your husband treats you and who he is while you’re pregnant shows you who he is, but conveniently forget how the wife treats a man and who she is- well, also an omen. These points in life show who someone truly is.

@ktgrrrd This. I hate that hospitals don't let you cosleep. Those first couple nights were absolutely horrible each time. With my most recent, I sneakily co-"dozed" just so I could get *some* form of rest.

The most controversial parenting decision I made kept me alive during year one. Cosleeping Yes, I read the reports. British doctors, american doctors, whatever-else-country doctors, all of them. I set up everything by the book. Bassinet right next to my bed. Day 4: zombie. Day 6: threw my wedding ring away with a night diaper. Still sorry. Day 9: genuinely thought I might drop my kid Day 10: he slept next to me It didn’t make my sleep perfect. But I stopped feeling like a danger to my own child. That’s the part nobody puts in the guidelines.

@learning_yohei Whichever works. Fun fact, the American versions are shortened due to people wanting a more phonetic spelling. It also helped make getting ads in newspapers cheaper, as they charged by the letter, lol.

I’m definitely being dramatic but the example set in this house is way below acceptable if I want to reach my personal parenting success markers

@LibertyJen My best friend has spina bifuda, that went untreated in the womb. She has a fused spine, clubbed feet, basically no muscle at all in her calves, and has had several surgeries for various health issues. Her quality of life may be different, but she has a great one.

@oldschoolcabbie @kenzietuff I'm just over one week postpartum with my 3rd. She needs to be more grateful to her husband and not pick dumb fights with him. Pregnancy (and hormones in general) are no excuse to be shitty to your husband.

@kenzietuff It's ok to let her say stuff like that and let it roll off your back when she's pregnant. She's cooking up a kid for ya, and the hormones do nutty things. Some things just aren't worth fighting over, and a feather duster certainly seems like one. Not everything needs a response

@magiciandoz @HazelAppleyard They included lace, like a veil, as something to avoid. Imagine the bride, walking down the aisle, then some guy yanks her veil off and starts devouring it in front of everyone. And if it's *really* done up in her hair... ouch

@HazelAppleyard I think he gets invited and he has to know he's responsible for explaining his behaviour and your parents need to avoid hiding it too. It's not criminal or immoral behaviour. The shame is not going to make things better. It absolutely won't ruin the wedding.
