@MidnightBoshi I'd say there's a 30% or happens, they've got a solid foundation for it and it'd work well as an extra mechanic for wilds ultimate, but I'd imagine they'd more likely do something building off wounds for a new mechanic (that and it'd limit the new locales to aquatic ones to work

@necrosslol @ZuNer0 G. Dosha is actually a very sensible monster to be the first guardian, especially since regular dosha is the monster with the most ties to the wound system, it's a good fit for showing that guardians can heal wounds

@OgScoopman @_Lagiacrus_ I've seen that but it also looked like the use of the term "repelled" was pretty ambiguous/might be partially mistranslated. I'd lean more towards Fatalis being slain, especially with all the fanfare the hunter gets from beating it, doesn't prevent other fatalis existing though

i did mine and there’s a few things for me to say
elder trio are there - unironically fit this game really well and with the weather system they can shine so much
no guardians - i just don’t see it being expanded upon personally

Got bored so I made a wilds expansion prediction list. Along with this I’m guessing we’ll get 4-5 new monsters Originally I thought this size would be too big, but the returning subspecies they could add are quite simple actually, so I think it’s plausible

@OgScoopman @_Lagiacrus_ I'd be pleasantly surprised if we got 2 fatalis in wilds given how big of a deal it was in iceborne, don't remember anything about the iceborne fatalis being repelled though?

@ThatMonHunGuy @_Lagiacrus_ What if both? The canonical ending for the IB Fatalis fight is we repelled it. The IB Fatalis could return as Crimson and the final TU could be White similar to Fatty finishing off IB

@TweetingGaruga I wouldn't be surprised if part of wyveria got turned into a more proper base of operations for the expansion, especially with the fog covering part of it

@ghost_puppy_ @aevanko I want to say that at some point the devs also said they just had no interest in porting the old games as they'd rather spend the time making something new instead which is fair, I'd say an ideal solution would be a new game which kind of recapture elements of the earlier titles

Capcom managed to port their classic fighting games with online (and rollback netcode!) just fine.
The fan-community also managed to create servers for all the old gen from very 1st MH game just fine.

A shame they don’t see Monster Hunter as having potential for remakes or ports, I feel there is a financial smart way they could do it and everyone wins. Oh well :( heck just a Switch 2 patch for MHGU could sell units imo

@MAlan1002 @IncroyableSauce Does it need one though? It's basically perfect as a self contained story, if anything a prequel would make sense rather than a sequel as there'd still be a reason for the jeagers to be around and fighting

@starsuper64 @MidnightBoshi I mean iirc the frenzy had some affects on the wylk systems under the forbidden lands (can't remember the actual name) so they could probably tie it to the story and shagaru would show up probably a bit before the final boss

Yeah Shagaru Magala and Chaotic are in no matter what. Chaotic will probably be a title update, but then again Chaotic absolutely could miss tbh. Shagaru can't.

@MidnightBoshi Yeah he kind IS, back in the demo the dataminers found about ALL the Monsters that were gonna come back and the New Monsters (except names) They even discovered gog there by his oil status, the First expantion Was suppose to bê mizu and him, but, because he IS not in the base-->

@ZwordsmanZ @Ginaughtty Frontier had tonfas which are sort of blunt dual blades, and monster hunter orage (one of the mh manga) had a whip weapon so you might be thinking of one of those

@noah_341 @soheil17s @GregHeffleyOG Compared to movies like infinity war and dune 1, those movies both come to a natural ending point whilst being the first half of a story, atsp just felt like it stopped, when I first saw it, it felt like there was another half hour to go, not another movie's worth of plot

@Jgray115935 @SirJessums Now obviously this doesn't work as much anymore because we have a ton of different elder dragons and very few of the new games actually present any of the elders as anything more than just extra strong monsters rather than embodiment of cataclysms

@Jgray115935 @SirJessums That's more of an issue with game balancing than anything else, you have to think in the context of mh1 where similar to fatalis where all of a sudden you have a more standard fantasy creature out of nowhere, which makes it stand out much more
