Exact same issue for me- I know my previous books and articles have been used to train AI (looking at you anthropic)- & when I run previous articles (written pre-AI) into AI checkers, they can come back as high as 90% AI. It's not artificial intelligence- it's collective human intelligence.

My one and only Dubai chocolate experience was being handed these for free at the Lindt shops in Switzerland. One was on a big snowy mountain. The other, at the train station. And it was just so delicious. And I didn’t realize it was pistachio. I love pistachio. I thought it was trying to be green and quirky and food dyed. But the pistachio was great. I’d buy one as a souvenir at the airport then leave it in the layover hotel’s fridge. A Kimpton in Philly, sharing a street with the liberty bell. It was very good. Back home on Venice beach, I’d see that the vendors were selling green sauce and chocolate sauce in a cup and calling it Dubai chocolate. Huge signs and pictures. Lots of fake labubus too. I saw a real Labubu at a Japanese store. Black market on Sawtelle. It was behind glass. I don’t remember what its theme or outfit was. I want that chocolate to find me again. But I don’t want to seek it out. Nothing can compare to that.

On deal volume: Jake, himself, is seeing approx 10 deals per week, ie deals that are important enough, or diligenced enough, to cross his desk.
"We are making more offers than you can possibly imagine. Either me personally or members of my team are making between three and five offers a week to either license something or buy a company or do some kind of discovery deal. Of course, you haven't read about all those because they don't all end up happening..."
Why don't all these deals get done?
A lot of deals are small, or involve private companies or preclinical assets, are not press released, etc etc...
However, when it comes to public company deals...

@felpix_ In all honesty I know people who failed stats like 4x in med school and were legit stressing over how to pass it since it was their only barrier to the bachelors. Stuff like this would have helped em earlier (they ended up needing a fuck ton of tuition).
