“I live here in the neighborhood, my kids ride bikes and they need a safe way to get to Central Park and across town,” Schwartz said. “This bike lane is going to make it a lot easier on 72nd Street.” westsiderag.com/2026/05/04/pro…

FLATBUSH AVE BUS LANE PLAN? A DISASTER...hear it from an actual former Director of MTA Bus Planning:

BREAKING | Woman Taken Into Custody After Allegedly Being Short on LIRR Fare A Citizen App user on the scene reports that a woman and her son were two dollars short for the LIRR train, prompting a police response. Citizen App video shows the woman being taken into custody. #ProtectTheWorld

“I feel like, as a public servant, you have to lead by example. Over 100 speeding tickets [last year] … I think that’s really terrible.” nyc.streetsblog.org/2026/04/27/sta…

This is scary. High school students can’t even read a simple sentence, let alone understand what it means. America, what the hell are we doing?!

Powerful show of force from a supermajority of the City Council saying it’s time to Stop Super Speeders - let’s get this done in this budget. @NYSA_Majority @NYSenate @GovKathyHochul

And there you have it, folks. I knew @frankmorano was giving off those "I'm about to fcuk Staten Island" vibes. The county already saturated with Speed Cameras and Red Light Cameras is now going to get shafted with an UNCONSTITUTIONAL measure, especially so as the same city council looks to lower the speed limit to 15 mph. Yes, Frank, it's UNCONSTITUTIONAL. Those cameras already shift the presumption of guilt onto the vehicle's owner. Now we are adding even more disproportionate sanctions on those owners, which btw will have this information (Speeder Tech Tag) tied to their name in the DMV's records. These sanctions do nothing for the actual offender (the vehicle's driver), as they can easily find another vehicle if they are so determined to evade this (B.S.) law and or continue speeding. If this was actually about preventing a traffic condition like speeding, Frank would be calling for more cops on VTL enforcement duties. Those cops would then summons the offending driver themselves, and the resulting points on their license would result in the revocation of their driving privileges period and or Criminal Prosecution. Frank's not calling for that is he? Instead, this is another attack on cars, property owners, the Middle Class (none of this matters to the wealthy or the big gov't dependent poor) and the very people of Staten Island themselves. Congratulations Staten Island you replaced one RINO (Joe Borelli) with another RINO, and now you're about to get shafted again.

Nearly 150 residents rallied on Saturday, asking the city to put the brakes on bike lanes being considered for West 72nd Street, citing potential problems for pedestrians, the elderly and residents in general. amny.com/nyc-transit/up…

Vehicles are seen driving the wrong way on the BQE by the Wythe Ave exit as the BQE is closed due to the NYC Bike Tour taking place now.

Good morning @CitiBikeNYC @Lyft, It pains me to report that the attached video appears to show former NYC Comptroller, congressional candidate, and the Panderista of Park Slope Brad Lander, native of St Louis, riding a Citi Bike through a crosswalk and proceeding through two steady red lights. I was under the impression that Citi Bike members agree to follow NYC traffic laws — including no riding in crosswalks and full stops at red lights — particularly those who regularly lecture the public about “street safety.” I assume rules apply evenly, and that traffic laws are not a sliding scale based on job title, press conference frequency, or number of transportation policy panels attended. Please review the video and advise whether this conduct complies with Citi Bike’s user agreement. If not, I trust appropriate action will be taken. In a city that is very enthusiastic about enforcement, consistency would be refreshing. cc: @NYC_DOT
